  1. I am hoping to get some guidance as to which is most popular unit amongst AVIC411 fans as I just sold my vehicle with FB900BT and loved the unit after some modding. However I just simply followed directions and never fully understood some of the difference in mods. So know as I shop for a new/used unit from Craigslist or Ebay I was looking for guidance. I found a good deal locally on a x920bt but saw some poor reviews on Amazon and now I am uncertain? Please advise.
  2. Wow, what a difference these make, I bought two of them today and had the pleasure of meeting Thomas who was a great help. I bought one for myself and one as a gift for a friend. I knew all along since finding Avic411 that I wanted to buy one, but I figured I would get some life out of the factory one, I even tried my own version of painting it black once the color faded off. MAN, I feel dumb for procrastinating this purchase, My drive home I kept playing with the radio as if it where new again and not two years old. This thing F@$#$@@@ rocks. Thanks bud for applying some well
  3. I have been scared to just place the text anywhere into the folder navigatemap_800_480.ui Also I am scarred to ammend a data zip and then potentially lose the Keeper data zip that I have already loaded> Please advise
  4. OK so I actually read the user manual and realize that I don't know it all. Sorry I now see that it was built to only play DVD to rear output, I dont understand why the other sources of video wont work through the rear? does anyone know if this can be resolved with some sort of mod/hack?
  5. I know that I will lose the bluetooth through the vehicle I was just hoping I can keep steering wheel buttons and possibly mic. But man that GM bluetooth does work well, i guess years of practice with onstar helped them get it right. I have been using my avic bluetooth for a few days now in my vehicle as I had bought two units. So far so good, no problems with reception through mic, a little slow in ending phone calls to return to music, and contacts basically suck to navigate through and edit doesn't exist.
  6. Guys I will wait patiently for an answer or the right interface. I had an offer that I dint want to pass up, I bought 2 brand new avics 900bt for 500 ea and so i installed one onto my Honda Odyssey with good success. I will wait for the right time and available technology before installing in GMC Acadia as the factory blue tooth and mic, plus On star is to good to lose entirely so hopefully answer presents itself so I can have both up and running.
  7. Hello all, newb hear but doing well with searching and lots of info available. I just did install on 2002 Honda odyssey and replaced previous in dash DVD all the while leaving existing drop down monitor. With all the help available I have successfully completed install and did Hardware bypass fist then Software/Hardware bypass, no success didn't actually ground yellow wire only connected it back to brake, Then have done replacement splash screen and plans on more. But for now as i just am getting to know unit I find a weird scenario. While playing DVD everything works gre
  8. First- YES, I did try searching. Now, I have had some experience with steering wheel interface as I had used a pac module on my wife's 2002 Honda odyssey to simply retain volume and select functions on a in dash dvd player deck. We just bought a new 2009 GMC Acadia and my original intent was to replace radio with aftermarket F900BT, however in seeing the beauty of the existing blue tooth interface I am dreading to loose this as well as the on star features which I only view as in case of emergency. From everywhere that I have searched and called both crutchfield and pac as well as
