  1. well then it has to be he didn't switch the av1 to ipod
  2. ok it's safe to say or assume that there is an issue with playing things through the usb slot if using a card. Now i have to figure out if i'm going to waste my time and get a USB jump drive or just breakdown and buy the 50 dollar apple cord so i can just use my ipod.
  3. thanks for the reply but i need someone that has used let's say a micro sd card with an adapter through usb. i got into my car today and nothing would play so i get home pop the card into my pc slot and everything had been erased. The card still works i put it into my phone and it was recognized.
  4. Are the f-series known to erase memory cards that are connected to the usb?
  5. or do you have the correct cord for the radio. you don't necessarily have to buy the right cord from pioneer you can get the cord apple makes i've heard it has little more quality to it and you may be able to get rid of the hissing noise. here is the link: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB129LL/B?fnode=MTY1NDA0OQ&mco=MTUzMzI1OQ
  6. in the words of T.I. "you can have whatever you like"

i played a movie from a micro sdhc card today through usb and was able to get sound
  8. also make sure you have the CD-IU230V pioneer cord. I don't have any sound coming out either but i figured it was due to me not having this cord. This cord turns the audio and video out pins coming from your ipod or iphone into usable rca connections going into the back of the deck, but if you have that cord then make sure you have AV1 set to ipod. You know what makes me mad about this whole ordeal I had a hunch that my ipod would still probably work even with pin 30 gone. My reasoning came from the fact that the CD-IB100II I had originally was made to utilize the ip-bus input on pioneer radio
  9. ok giving you guys an update on my 700bt with my ipod with the broken pin. Well just got my 700bt installed today and came home plugged my ipod in and voila the deck not only reads info from my ipod but it also holds a charge. As i stated before on my previous pioneer deck i was using the CD-IB100II which as we all know uses the ip-bus port on the pioneer decks and when the pin broke on my ipod i could no longer use it. So i'm here to tell everyone if you so happen to break pin 30 on your ipod not the ipod dock then yes you will still be able to use the ipod interface cable that works through
  10. buy the three year extended warranty!!! it's only 59.99 with how much you just saved on the unit it's well worth it to spend another 60.00 to be covered for 3 extra years and yeah that's right three extra years. Their warranty program starts after pioneers one year runs out. i got my 700bt from 6ave. for 497 shipped with the three year warranty
  11. i'm wanting to say the the pin that is broke is pin 30 on my ipod. i've been looking at layouts on the web and i see that on the dock if you have the dock plugged in and you are looking at your ipod then pin 1 starts from the right and goes left. so i'm thinking the CD-IB100II needs pin 30 for a ground cause every diagram i see has pin 29,30 as a firewire ground.
  12. well that may work in my favor cause the pin that broke was the one to very far left if you are looking at the ipod face up.
  13. yeah well i was just hoping i may have gotten lucky the money was finally deducted and yeah they shipped the item before the money was deducted.
  14. Read information from your ipod through usb? Reason for this question is currently i have a 30gig ipod and about a year ago there was a pin on my ipod that broke off and i couldn't use the pioneer CD-IB100II anymore with my pioneer deck. But i can still connect my ipod via laptop and charge and sync songs to it and still use the media storage option. I was wondering if the avic f series read information from your ipod in the same manner as if it were connected to a computer or still read like all other 3rd party peripherals? I wanting to say just by looks of things it may just read info as if
  15. That i got my f700bt for free? Let me explain, I recently ordered the 700 from an amazon seller 6ave. As i come to find out that a bunch of people here have dealt with 6ave so i now know they are legit. Well before i read they were legit i was kind of on the skeptical side and checking my bank account everyday to make sure i didn't get scammed. Well i saw that one day the money was taking out but a few days later my account balance is back to where it started so i'm starting to wonder if the money has come out at all.
