  1. The zoom is not the problem because every other road shows up just not the major ones. I have not checked the Turnpike yet, I will check that this weekend. I have had the update since it came out and I have never installed any of the mods or hacks. I don't know what I'm gonna do. I think that this will be my last pioneer, the quality has really fallen off and the factory units have caught up to the aftermarket. Really there is no need to add a aftermarket unit anymore especially when they can't get the little things right. Sync looks really nice!
  2. Just took a trip up to north Jersey last week and I had to jump on the NJ Garden State Parkway, Probably the most popular road in NJ. The road came up and unnamed, the Atlantic City Express way came up as unnamed road as well. Am I the only person seeing this? Please share your experiences, this is ridiculous!
  3. Here are somethings that I have noticed so far: 1. Presets work in my Mercedes if you hold the up or down, otherwise will change to next station. 2. Button noise is no longer annoying! (IMO) 3. Buttons are more responsive 4. Heads up in 2D mode 5. Maps are cleaner 6. Navigation still doesn't tell you right or left side of street the destination is on. Installed on Friday when I got the update. No issues what so ever. Before I had the 2.006 update and everytime I went to settings my unit would reboot. Another thing that I noticed after the upgrade all my audio settings were still t
  4. Just received my disk about an hour ago, and the first update with through flawlessly. I am updating the maps now with the second disk and I am at 98% with no errors so far. Just for some background I have never run a mod I have only had approved pioneer software and configs on my unit, just incase anyone was wondering. I have the XM module, and IPOD, Hard-wire Bypass. My unit is the F90bt. I will update on units functionality later when I get off of work. By the way second disk just finished flawlessly and it ask me if I wanted to keep my current splash screen, which I answered "yes" so no it
  5. I wish they made a way to backup your EQ, preset, background settings on the SD card, so that way if you have to do a factory reset on your unit; you can restore your configurations quickly. I would be willing to pay a bounty for this.
  6. Just wanted to echo the Storm (Vzw) works great with F90bt.
  7. They obviously didn't do it correctly. I would take it back to him and let him know that the bypass didn't work. Maybe he / she missed a step sometimes things happen, and if it is a busy shop maybe they didn't test it. If they can't fix it then report back here and I'm sure there are a ton of experts in this forum that can help you if you don't mind taking the risk of doing it yourself.
  8. Hardware bypass still works.
  9. The system does load quicker and gets rid of that "System Starting Up" message. IPOD From the measurements I took, Ipod with VR cataloging turned off, the Ipod starting playing in around 25 sec. I have not tested the SD card yet because the 2.0 firmware was on there. The Ipod didn't disconnect one time while I was testing the new firmware but only time will tell on that too. Bluetooth connectivity after about a 80 seconds. Navigation Still doesn't tell you what side of the street the destination is on, but I would suspect that is a problem with the version of iGo. The system s
  10. Call Pioneer and let them know your situation and see if they can send you a SD chip to do the job for you. Make sure they can give you a chip to restore the process when you get home. Good luck and God speed. AIR POWER!
  11. sounds like he drunk the kool-aid.
  12. What about the over navigation prompts, and the unit doesn't tell you what side of the street the destination is on. I hope they fix these issues.
  13. Here is a list of problems that I have seen so far: 1. Bluetooth locked radio up, and lost functionality and sound. 2. Navigation still doesn't tell you right or left side of street. 3. When bluetooth locked radio up in middle of routing me to Circuit City I had to change course becasue the exit it wanted me to take was closed due to construction, well the navigation took me in a big circle just to try to take the same exit! (for you programers out there a big recursive circle) Even after I decided to use my own directions just to see what the unit would do, when I was in front of
  14. You guys are obviously not computer guys, so stop beating up on Microsoft. You can't just add a blue ray drive in a laptop or Head unit and expect it to play Blue ray movies. Try lookup video decoding processors, HDCP, or even DRM. Second Vista is not that bad, the only people I know that really have problems with vista are people who don't have vista, or people who don't know that much about computers, or your computer is in need of upgrading. And if you are complaining of that printer or scanner that doesn't work anymore then I would ask you whose responsibility is it to put drivers out for
  15. I tried my treo 650 and it didn't work. I have a Verizon xv 6800 and it works, before that I had a Samsung i760 and that worked as well. From everything that I have been reading the xv 6800, the mogul, and the Cingular Tilt are the same phones made by a company called HTC, so if any of you guys/gals have these phones they should work. Hope this helps.
