  1. Thats pretty cool. Microbypass has a interface to do this automatically now. I do like the james bond style though.
  2. Thank you, I understand your concern, but Pioneer hasn't changes any software on the 8400 or appradio2 regarding the bypasses. I have both of these radios, and the microbypass interfaces work perfectly on both. Our store is the one of the top Pioneer retailers in all of Florida, and we now use these microbypasses on every Pioneer radio install we do. They are just as cheap as a tr7, and you don't have to program them. They are simple three wire connections and work right out of the box. The original appradio1 is the only one that has issues with bypasses and has software changed (i heard their
  3. fyi MicroBypass has their new model selling already for the Appradio2 sphda100. I purchased one, and I can confirm that it works on my sph-da100 in my truck. IMO it is way easier to use something this small and not have to program it like the tr7 and still add a relay. If you want them to build something custom for the timing sequences of the app radio1, I am sure they will. They are really easy going and offer great customer service. For my money I want something easy.
  4. I wouldnt try that... its just the wrong way to do it..... Its like fixing fuses in the car by wrapping tin foil around them... on a $800+ unit?, Its like driving around on a doughnut spare tire in a supercar. You can buy an extra pin on microbypass's website so you don't have to molest the harness.
  5. MicroBypass has extra pins for sale with instructions if you don't want to remove the mute wire. I was using mine for onstar, so I needed a pin too. They have the oem pins from Japan.
  6. Hello. I have confirmed the new one from Microbypass.com works on the 8400.
  7. i had the z3, but it was so slow navigating through the music once i had about 30 or so cd's on it. i have the z120 and i play pandora all the time. imo it blows the z3 out of the water. it is way more compatible with newer ipods/iphones/flash drives, quicker to respond, and a much nicer display. the customization is awesome too.
  8. Hi. I got one from http://microbypass.com and it works. I got the tr-7 first and it was complicated to program. the one one i got from microbypass.com and it was about 1/10th of the size and it had a really easy hook up with no programing. It looks like this: This is the avh/mvh model, then the AVIC-U220 Model, then a standard relay for size comparison:
  9. Hi. There is a bypass on eBay and it works perfect with no programing. Its an integrated circuit this installer built and its less expensive and smaller then a tr7 and relay, and has a simple 3 wire hook up. Search for "AVIC-U220 Video Bypass" on eBay and it will come up. They sell it on microbypass.com too.
