  1. Ok thanks for letting me know. However, if I have an iPod (Touch) will that work; in terms of allowing the video out to the overhead to work? Or am I destined to hold on to my trove of DVDs until such time that someone (i.e. Pioneer, Alpine, etc...) allows this to work.
  2. Hi folks, I am attempting to play video from a USB device (i.e. mobile phone) through my f90bt to my overhead display, but it doesn't seem to work. I DO get the video to play fine through the avic unit directly, however with no sound. But, nothing shows up for the passengers watching on the rear overhead display, which is directly connected to the video output on the f90bt. FYI, DVDs play fine, so we can watch in the front and the rear seats simultaneously with no issue. Does anyone have a workaround for this? Since i ideally want to connect a small external hard drive (200GB) to the
  3. Well I ended up removing the unit and sending it in (I still have 90 days left in my 2 year warranty). They replaced the unit and the new unit works fine. From what I was told, there is no fix for the BT issue other than full replacement. Good luck though
  4. Well I figured there's no harm trying...right? I'm pretty good with electronics and so it's not like a can mess up a "non-working" unit anymore than it already is BTW, I still haven't gotten any feedback on this...so if you happen to have one...plese PM me. cheers
  5. Hi folks, I'm hoping to take apart my non working GEX-P20HD and am looking to use another non-working HD unit to use for spares and hopefully fix the one I have...so if you have one that is no longer working and is taking up space in your; garage, desk, etc...please drop me a line and let me know what you'd want for it...I'd be more than willing to pay for shipping to Seattle. Thanks!
  6. So about a week back the bluetooth on my Avic-f90bt just stopped working and syning with my mobile phone. I kept trying to find devices from both my handset and my Avic....but no go. Then it worked once after trying for about 1/2 hour, but as soon as I stopped and turned off the car and restarted, there was no connection found. I also notice the flashing blue light hardly if ever comes on. I contacted Pioneer and under the "Bluetooth S/W" mine is empty. I tried loading the latest s/w via a usb device and after 10-15 minutes is came back with an error message. I've tried this twice and
  7. While installing it the white cable became lose and fell out...so it was simple install error...everything is working great now with the h/w bypass and hooked up to the Alpine PKG-RSE2 so I effectively have 2 zone sound now!
  8. Hi folks, I setup my AVIC-f90bt and am no getting anything appearing on my rear mounted monitor. I can confirm the monitor works fine and can watch DVDs on the actual AVIC unit, however there is no feed taking place from the headunit to the monitor. BTW, I did run the video feed wiring and connected to the Video out on the AVIC. Is there anything I need to enable on the AVIC to have it start showing video on the rear monitor? I can't seem to find any info... Anyone with any ideas or help would be appreciated!
  9. I've got a question related to displaying video to and from and overhead DVD player. I currently have a f700bt and want to connect it to me overhead DVD player/monitor (Alpine PKG-RSE2). I want to be able to display video from the overhead to my f700bt, which I assume should be no problem throught the AUX1 cable. However, the big question is if I have video (through my ipod) playing on my f700bt, can i view that on the overhead? If so how? Can this be done through the existing connection between the two units or do i need to use the S-Video or the AUX 2 connection? Thanks
