  1. For those of you that are having reboot issues AFTER an attempted upgrade, I may have the solution. Some antivirus programs are removing all or most of the exe files (like video.exe, av.exe, and m*.exe (can't remember the exact name). They will also possibly remove copytool.exe from testmode. If you try to boot into testmode, and get a notification "cannot find copytool.exe", that is a sure sign that your antivirus proggy swallowed some files. Look in quarantine! It was very frustrating to say the least! So far, fx3.1 has been the best as far as stability goes (for me at least). I always
  2. Recently, my Avic F90BT has the following problem: I turn it on, and when I switch to AM, it has no reception. If I turn it all the way up, all I hear is static, but some stations I can hear the station, so it is "there" However, if I leave it on, it will eventually "click" and turn on with perfect reception. When the problem first started, it would come back to life fairly quickly, but now it sometimes takes up to an hour. I thought it was a connection, and it was coming back when I hit a bump or something, but it has come back and started working when I have been stationary, so I beli
  3. As a thank you to all the work that has gone into this, I wanted to offer to "host" the mod files on one of my websites. If you have a complete mod file (like the FX3.1) PM me, and I will be glad to host. Torrents drive me CRAZY, as I am sure it does for others too! I will host for at least one month, then provided the bandwidth does not go crazy, I will host them longer. For those who have hosted, how much bandwidth did it use? THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
  4. I just had to install the FX3.1 mod, as I had the constant reboot problem arise yesterday. It will be interesting to see if it was fixed. I will let everyone know when I go down to Oregon next time. I'm glad that you found the fix tho! It would be really frustrating to have this problem if living in Oregon. Even not living there, it always threw me off when I was down there! For those out there that are going to do a "Mod" my only suggestion would be to turn off or disable any anti virus or anti malware before extracting the RAR or ZIP file. Sometimes some of them falsely flag and delete
  5. Ok, so that was it! The AntiVirus program was the culprit. Again, turn off any AntiVirus or anti malware, then extract the rar file to the SD card. (making sure it is formatted FAT32) If you are not using the fx3.1, I highly recommend it. Search the forum for a link to it. I had the constant reboot problem, then the exact problem with the av source button, and it cured everything! Happy day!
  6. I am having the same exact problem, but with an T90jt. It may be a hardware issue, or your AntiVirus program deleted some of the necissary files. Make sure to disable any av before extracting or copying any files to the SD card. I am trying this now, and will keep you posted.
  7. Maybe I can save some of you out there some time and frustration. If you are running "WEBROOT" (anti virus/anti malware) or possibly some other av/am programs, make sure to disable them BEFORE extracting the files! You see, it will flag the copytool.exe as malware or a virus, and delete the file and associations. (you also can't add it later, as the association with the other copytool file is erased.) Not sure of it has been brought up somewhere in the 50 pages, but maybe an OP can put this furniture in the initial post. It will most certainly help those running webroot! Thanks again f
  8. I live in Washington, and have the same problem. (sort of!) I travel to Oregon quite often, and have noticed that right when I cross the bridge into Oregon, my avic jumps ahead one hour as well. But, when i go back across the other way, it fixes itself! Very strange indeed! It must have something to do with the TLS and the time map settings internally. It thinks there is a time change when passing into oregon, as if we were going into Arizona for example. I think the only fix would be if Pioneer sends out an update to the firmware.
  9. I have searched high and low, but have not been able to find a definative answer to a solution to the software bypass after the "genuine" 3.0 Pioneer update.Could someone post a guide (or a link to an existing guide) that goes thru the steps required for a successful software bypass once the 3.0 update is complete, and if it is possible (with the "genuine" Pioneer update)? I have the Pioneer Avic F90BT btw... I had everything working (bypass wise) when I had the 2.* version. I have the parking brake wire grounded, and had made mod's to the files, and could watch video & input addr
  10. I have searched for a solution, maybe I am blind, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Here is the deal. I had the "bypass" for the 2.* system. (PB H/W & SW) I could watch DVD's and enter addresses on the roll, & I wasn't harrased by the notifications every time I got up to speed. Now that I have done the "official paid" update (From Pioneer), I lost all my bypasses. What steps do I need to take to feeex? So the mods will work in tandem with the official upgrade.. I would think this would be a great *sticky* (the answer, that is, not my da ) for the site, as I ha
