Thanks, dude. I too want to use it as a multimedia device but every time I start all the sound settings are reset and the thing always starts playing the first song!

Thanks Yazon, have you tried to conenct that yellow wire to the battery? I need to know whether the unit doesn't reboot afterwards. I've had it installed at Best Buy but maybe they messed it up. That's why I need to know if the yellow wire is the problem solver

Hi guys, were you able to figure this out? The main problem is that the device cold reboots often (why?) and looses many settings. What is the yellow wire for. I'm going to best buy on Saturday and if they didnt connect something right I need to know now:) Thanks!

Hi guys, I had my unit hardwired last weekend. Everything, event the backup camera, works fine except for one strange behaviour. When I turn the key to ON, the unit usually starts ok. However, when I start the car, my avic turns itself OFF. After I start it manually, it performs the whole system boot up process. Sometimes this also happens after I put the key into OFF position and consequently to ON. Is this "reboot" behaviour normal? I don't mind it except for loosing all music settings (EQ, volume, song playing). Btw, I play the songs from an SD card. Thanks for your help!
