Hi, does any one know where I can download ADDITIONAL night map colors/themes for the 8200 nex?? I dont like the pre installed map colors. Most of the map (night color) are grey instead of black. The theme "clovis (or jovis....something like that)" has a black background, but the streets are intense blue, which cause eyes strain at night. In the old F90/900 series, there are many map colors/themes for download, and this forum even have additional themes/mods for the map. Please help if you know anything regarding this issue.

it wired correctly, but when the headlamps turn on, it only "dimmed", not turn to night mode. From mine research, this unit doesnt have the light sensor built in, so it only switch mode according to the clock

I just installed a avic8200. Still getting to know the unit. I have a question regarding the function and setting for the gps system. I have an older avic f500bt (portable gps), and also on many OEM gps systems, when I drove into the dark tunnels (during daytime), or at night, the map display (and all the displays) will automatically switch to night mode due to the built in light sensors. Does the 8200nex has built in sensors?? would the display turn into night mode?? (I didnt see it so far). I didnt see any setting regarding this function!! So far I sat in the dark garage during the dayt

Hi, I have a F500 and did all the mode many years ago. My friend just bought a used F500 which never been upgraded (map 1.00600, firmware 2.00.. something like that)... My question is can I duplicate my F500 into my friend F500 by 1. Copy everything on the hard drive of my F500 and copy into my friend hard drive's ?? will that upgrade both firmware and map (per my gps) 2. or do I have to upgrade my friend firmware to 3.xx first, then copy the my entitle hard drive to his?? 3. I have the official update disk from Pioneer (two SD card) 3.xx for my f500... can I use the 1st sd

Where can I find this value? I also wanted to increase the title level.... I've been checking sys.txt file, but couldnt find this line.... Please let me know which files I need to check to change this value, thank you

that is odd. I tried both and it didnt work. Let see If I did it correct: I opened the DATA.Zip > COMMON FOLDER, then imported the cilp_plan.txt file (downloaded it as txt file), then remaned into UI type file? Im missing anything? Also, do I need to change anything in sys.txt file? and do I need to add both this file, and change the numbers in the color3d.ini? or just this file only. I so far sucessed at all these other mods, this one is the first one that didnt work out for me

I thought for 2D arrow, we would add some codes like the ones for 3D arrow.... Resize the bitmap icon would be too complicated.... But thank you anyway

Thank you Eppler. I did the moded and realized I might have misread the thread and have an entitly different problem. Since I update my AVIC500BT into ver 3.0 software and map (bought from Pioneer), in the 3D MODE, the map would not show any street name, label. I have to ZOOM IN at least to 500ft or less before the street name show up. Doing these modes didnt help... have to zoom in <500 ft to have the street name show up. In 2D mode, everything work fine. My unit didnt have this problem with ver 2.0 software. Anybody know ways to fix this short comming? Thank you

I have a quick question: should I save it inside the COMMON folder, or should I save it inside the UI folder, which is inside the COMMON folder? thank you Also, should I add this file IN ADDITION to these above codes (post by other member) or just this file only? I did the number changed (per above instruction) last night, and nothing changed. I just added you clip_plan (and reversed the last-night hack back to original), and nothing changed too. Only if I zoom in less than 500ft, than street name show up....

Im not sure, but I changed the value in sys.txt and it works. The arrow is as big as I wanted. I changed the carsizemin number, dont know what carsizemax number for?? also carsizelm?? but Im happy so far
