  1. I'd just upgrade the new navi the correct way to avoid any bad behaviors. ... the correct way being, get the newest files, and follow the 3.0 sticky on the first page.
  2. I don't know how to directly answer your question, but all the tutorials I've seen require you to format the flash drive before installing an update. So it wouldn't be on TOP of your 3.x install, it would format then install the new version... then you just copy/paste the other files. Hybrid 4.0 worked fine for me on my F700BT (US) with Q4 2012 maps/dem/poi/building files.
  3. "hybrid 4.0" is available on piratebay. It worked great for my F700bt
  4. Just download the 4.0 files from wherever (piratebay)... Get a set of maps (you can use the old maps or update them). Put the maps, POIs, DEMs, in the respective /ap2/iGo/content files... Put all the (updated with maps) files from 4.0 download onto an sd card. The files are: The copy file (with all the AP1, 2, 3...) Data, zip testmode (file) wince (bin file) wince (cks file) At this point you can follow the 3.0 install sticky guide... put in the card, start up the car... hold all four buttons... let go of the reset button, keeping your fingers on menu+map... @ the blue sc
  5. hey are you sure the ap1, 2, 3 files got transferred correctly? I know there wasnt enough flash memory inside for mine to take all of the 2012 iGo maps, so it errored out and said some files werent able to be accessed.
  6. lol it's pretty clear that the ONLY differences between the 900 and 700 is the dvd player and msn direct... If you want to play dvds, you can always rip them to iPod format and play them from your iPod using the iPod connector. Any battery powered DVD player with a RCA-out would work if you wanted to go that route, though.
  7. worked great! I can't wait to see it in action =)
