  1. Hi, I bought a used AVIC-F500BT off of ebay and unfortunately the guy who sold me the unit did not have the original F/P shaped (on one end and different connectors for power, reverse, amp etc on the other end) cable that hooks up to the back of the Cradle. I am not sure what the part number is for that cable so I don't know which one to order. I did see something called a CRADLE MOUNT ASSY with Part#: 541316670004 but, I am not sure if that is what I want. Can someone please help me out? Thanks.
  2. Guys the answer is in my post. PLS READ READ READ. You don't need a back up of the whole flash disk if the only problem ur facing is ur SD/USB not working or something else breaking after you do the 2.0 update. All you need is the original update zip file for ver 2.0 from pioneer. U need to unzip it and then copy and replace any files and/or folders on ur flash disk with what is in the LUP... update folder. If someone still needs an the full flash disk for an Avic-F500BT (because that is what I own) please let me know and I will upload it to anywhere you want. Haris.
  3. Hey Andy and Shaft. I have a backup of the Avic-F500BT flash disk with ver 2.0 update. That ftp site was not mine it was someone else's so he probably changed the username and password. I can upload the backup flash disk anywhere u want and u don't have to pay me for anything. This forum is free and designed to help people for free not to make a quick buck. So pls either one of u let me know where u want it and I will start the upload. Haris.
  4. Lol np dude glad it helped. That is why I updated this post so someone like me can find a solution faster than what I had to go through. Enjoy
  5. Yes the F900 2.0 update zip folder that you download from the Pioneer website is the same for all the F-Series. But for all those who start getting problems after the 2.0 update, all you have to do is copy the LPUE080 to ur SD card and boot into testmode. Then copy over all the files and folders inside the LPUE080 folder except the PLT folder and overwrite the ones in your flash disk. All the update does is delete old files and copy new ones. But I guess some idiot at pioneer wrote the copy tool since it does a shitty job of either deleting or copying files and messes up for the few ppl like y
  6. Hey Matt I would like to use your Mod on my F500BT as I really like what you have done to the Map screen. I don't much care about the speed cam stuff, not that its not useful but I live in the US and their aren't many around where I live. That brings me to my question, since I live in the US will this mod cause problems? How do I go about changing everything to miles per hour? Thank You.
  7. You have to copy the testmode and MiTACAP folders on to the root of your SD card. If the drive letter of your SD card is lets say S then this is what your directory structure will look like. S:\testmode\ S:\MiTACAP\ The pioneer logo always comes on once and then when it is being displayed the system checks for something on the memory card. Once it finds these 2 folders the screen switches off and then on again and the pioneer logo shows up again for around 10-15 sec or maybe less. Then the copy window appears and viola ur in testmode. I think you might have the ver 2.0 update fold
  8. Do you have the original copy of your flash disk? Were u smart enough to make a copy of ur flash drive before replacing its contents from what you downloaded from the Web File Manager site http://66.59.250.9:8000/ ? If so My solution for a different problem I was working on might be able to help you out. I had a problem when doing the update as well my SD and USB had stopped working, I'm sure this will resolve ur issues. You can read about it on this page at the bottom http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=22470. If you did not make a copy of ur flash drive after you started g

  12. Thank you shivedog for the tremendous help. I got it to work but the fix was in the ver 2.0 update folder. So here is a detailed guide of what I did to get my SD and USB to start picking up media files again. I am sure this will help out some poor fella like me because I was in a shitty mood the past 2 days and just wanted to kill myself. I beautifully installed it (with a little paint chip ) flushed inside my dash and now I couldn't play anything off of it. Anyways here goes. As soon as I got my Avic without even thinking or testing any media files off of an SD card or a USB Drive, I down
  13. Hi, my unit won't pick up any media files from a SD card or a USB drive. I have tried gazillions of different ways and I know both are working since I can upload a splash screen and boot into testmode. I think the ver 2.0 upgrade broke something in the code. Can someone pls provide me with a flash drive backup for the Avic-F500. I would greatly appreciate it. Pls pls pls. Thank You.
  14. Do you know where I can find files for the Avic-F500BT? I'll try and replacig them as well. The sad thing is i just bought the unit 2 days ago and as soon as i got it i upgraded it to version 2.0 without testing the USB or the SD under the AV source menu. So I don't know if it was working before i did the upgrade. I can connect an iPod via usb and it shows up but no USB or SD cards.
