Awesome, i'm going to be attempting this on my own on Friday! Is there any way to retain the files from the original hard drive without having to get the AFF Repair Station mentioned in the first post??

So would I be able to use that test disc to unlock it straight through the Z1 itself and then transfer over the files using that cable? I only have a laptop so this is why I am asking...

quick question, i have an avic-z1 that i bought in 2006 and i had the flashing lights technique bypass on it until pioneer released the update for the freezing HD's which got rid of that bypass. i then re-bypassed it with the method listed on this site and was wondering if i bought this hard drive, would it get rid of that bypass? also, would it get rid of all the information i currently have stored on my hard drive?

anyone got any backgrounds for a Scion tC besides the loading screen one page back?
