  1. I talked to the pioneer guys at CES, and apparently they'll get rolling on the AVICSync app in a few months once the AVIC-x100NEX series is completed. Personally I am switching manufacturers on my next head-unit purchase as I have lost the faith in Pioneer. Been through 20+ pioneer units in the last 15 years and I think it's time to try someone new.
  2. I have an 8000NEX and verizon galaxy s5 and it works great with appradio unchained. The only complaint is the pulling the cover off the usb port on the s5 everytime to connect to the mhl.
  3. Keep up the good work! I love seeing projects like this... maybe once you knock out the 5000 you'll be willing to take a look at the 8000?
  4. Vehicle speed sensor, I used the gmos-014 and it provided one for me, most wiring adapters will. Are you using an adapter, and if so, which one?
  5. I switched from an Appradio 2 to an Appradio 3 using the same plug, it worked no problem. I just switch from my Appradio 3 to the 8000NEX, and while the plug will fit, it is missing the VSS wire for GPS. You may be able to get by without it, but I'm thinking GPS won't be as accurate. I swapped mine out just to be sure.
  6. Thanks but I've looked at the owners manual available here: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/StaticFiles/Manuals/Car/AVIC-8000NEX_OperationManual030714.pdf and didn't find any installation info with the usual wiring diagrams.... am I missing something?
  7. I'm getting ready to swap my appradio 3 out to an avic 8000. It's not here yet, and I can't seem to find an installation manual anywhere online. Can someone please post a link to it, or a scan of it so I can prep my install ahead of time. I'd really like to know if the appradio 3 harness will just plug straight in or not and figure out a few other wiring changes I may or may not have to make. Thanks!
  8. From what I'm reading, the Pantech burst isn't MHL compatible... which is a requirement for app radio mode. The "phone" connection should work though.
  9. Yeah, i have the same problem. Waze no longer accepts input... also seemed like Pandora wasn't working, but I've only tried it a couple of times. I'm assuming they'll update their apps soon...
  10. Im using the 9-18 nightly and everything is working like a champ so far.
  11. Working great with cm10 on my Samsung gs3. And no Bluetooth scripts necessary
  12. Yeah, which CM10 did you load? I tried a few builds ago and get nothing when connecting MHL on my Sprint phone. As soon as its working, I'm going back to JB though, its amazing.
  13. Good news! Hopefully CM10 will roll out with MHL support for my S3 soon.
  14. I'm running CM10 and yes, bluetooth connects without issues like in ICS where you have to "accept" it every time. However, MHL/HDMI is not yet supported, so you get no audio or video.... so it's useless at this point. CM10 will likely be a fantastic option once they add mhl support in a later release, but as for now it's not usable with the appradio.
  15. Hmm... about the only think that may make a difference would be go to settings -> security -> device administrators and make sure tasker is checked as an admin. If not, I'm not sure why it wouldn't be available. I'm on the Sprint version of the S3.... are you on a GSM model? Would something be different there?
