  1. This would be awesome to be able to use the onstar mic. Rcxracing, is there any chance of getting a guide for us noobs? Or is it staight forward process? Thanks, Rich
  2. I can play divx on both sd and usb. xvid will play but the video will be very choppy. I always have to encode my xvid to divx to play properly. Also, I found that the frame rate should be about 700. I found that the video gets choppy past 800. I also usually select at least 640 for resolution so that I can get full screen.
  3. Accidentally found my 700bt would change randomly when clicking next song (160/300 to 43/300). I had multiple folders (80s, 90s, country, etc) with songs in each folder. Had the 700bt set to media and random. Every time I either used the volume button or touch screen to bypass a song that I did not want to hear, it would randomly select another song. If you have all your songs on the root or in just 1 folder, then it would not forward or reverse to a random song, instead go to the next sequential one. (160/300 to 161/300). Also, I found out if you have multiple folders but set to folder a
  4. On the 900bt, you should just need to make a data disk and either put the movies on the root or create a directory with the movies inside. Don't have a 900bt so I can't confirm.
  5. I play .avi (divx) videos from both SD and USB drives. Have not tried the CD Rom yet. I had to use a lower frame rate around 800 or less otherwise I would get out of sync of slide show with the video. If the frame rate is too high, the 700bt just can't keep up.
  6. Well, the problem turns out to be the mp4 that I was trying. I remembered that I had some movied encoded in mp4 format on my smartphone so I took out my micosd memory and put it into the pioneer (via a SD adapter) and it played the videos perfectly. Some of the videos were really small but that is because the resolution was small. I then encoded the movie Bolt with the resolution of 640x480 and it played perfectly. Filled up the screen nicely. I guess that movie that I got from my buddy was too large of a resolution or encoded differently to display correctly. Thanks everyone for your re
  7. Does anyone know if there is a DC powered digital converter box so that I would not need a DC/AC converter?
  8. So does anyone think it could be a grounding issue that would allow the movie to play, have sound but no video or would it most likely be a video format error that would not let it display but have sound? I guess I could try the USB drive to rule out an issue with the SD slot.
  9. Hello everyone, I just purchased the AVIC-F700BT and started installing it. I bought a Metra wiring harness for my 06 Civic and connected all the wires. I did the hardwire mod to allow video playback without the handbrake. I tested out the unit last night and so far, the radio work perfectly but when I tried to test the video playback, I got the warning screen, pressed ok, and the video started playing. Actually it had started playing even with the warning screen displayed. Sound was good, I could fast forward, etc. but there was not video. I will double check the grounding for the m
