Im sending mine back to pioneer

no mods to mine either bought it in march of 2009 so only 3 months old and mine craps out. I cant get into testmode - nothing. Im waiting for a fix

What have you tried so far? Did you disconnect battery terminals yet? I disconnected the main harness from the radio (which results in samething of battery terminal disconnect) I tried everything in the first post... hard resets 2.0 firmware update testmode dont work

I just wish i could get into testmode and see what ya all are seeing and possibly fix mine. But i cant even do that.

I bought it off of ebay brand new condition... worked great for 6 months. Then all of sudden this issue.... yeah im out of ideas as well- this sucks. Just curious i have a remote starter on this truck- i wonder if this caused it. Since everytime the remote starter is engaged it turns on accessories first for about 10 seconds then starts the truck. Well usually in those 10 sec the radio is trying to boot up and then when it tryies to start the truck the radio has to reboot again. I wonder if that is the cause and thats why it wont boot anymore. I hope someone else any ideas that

nope didnt work Battery is at 12.2 volts while sitting I put the battery booster on it and still nothing... hmmmm...what the hell?

I have a battery jumper (battery boaster) So i can just throw that on and try that lol. I hope this works.

Interesting that could be a possible problem. truck is 2006 original battery im sure. what can i try before buying a new battery? can i try charging the battery? I soldered all my wires so they all should be good still plus i pulled it out already and checked those. I was going to disconnect the hardiwre bypass and see if that works but more i think about the more i think it wont. Im gonna have to check my battery

1. Car off 2. Pop SD card in 3. Turn car on 4. Radio (menu and map lights up) screen black nothing comes on the screen 5. 30 seconds later the menu and map lights go off 6. I sit there and see nothing going on so i get bored and turn car off???? How long does it need to be in there before i see it doing anything?

But why cant I into test mode??? Ive tried everything to get into test mode???

Alright guys i searched on here and searched and tried everything i can... My radio is acting weird. I started my truck this morning everything was fine- i go out after work start the truck up pull it in to the garage (i turn it off but i think the radio didnt finish booting) start the truck up again and now black screen and only the lights on menu and map come on for about a min and then go off. I tried hard reset (eject and reset button) I tried getting into test mode (dont see nothing on the screen radio just turns off again after a min) unless im doing the test mode functio

Before i go and update my maps to this version - can someone look up a address for me to see if its in there that is running 2008.4?????? Let me know if you can

bro you have to read more, you still have to get a hacked ezrider for the 2008.4 maps to function Ive been reading alot... I got the ezrider downloaded i know i have to use that im working on downloading the 2008.4 maps Anything else i need to know about With all these threads there's alot of communication and its very hard to sort through everything- ive been on alot of other sites trying to piece everything together- i promise you im trying to search it all and figure it out.

From what im understanding now is that i can just load the 2008.4 without doing a whole lot. Its completely compatible with iGO8 which is current version on the avic. I highly doubt the 2008.4 will have what i need in it though. But its worth a shot. Im gonna go outside and see if i can find the version loaded right now.
