Well after 5 or 6 hours of messing with it, and 3 different trips to the store to buy a different 2.5 to 3.5 adapter, and 3 different PCs later, i have upgraded my Z2 to a Z3 it appears that even if you update the BIOS on a Gateway PC, they still arent good enough to recognize a locked drive, and just give a Secondary Master Hard Drive error (on a E series e2000 anyway) i had to use a Dell that i found that was all sata, disconnect the cd rom from the IDE on the board, unlock the Tosh drive, then use the e2000 (now that the drive was wiped) to boot the MHDD and disable security (i put

i finished the z3 download last night as well. I have been seeding it and will continue to seed for a week or two. I will throw the updates on there and upload to rapidshare if no one else can get their copy up

Garrett, would you mind informin me of what i will need to update on my hdd once i have this image? Im speaking of Gracenotes and the XM logos which I know of, but is there anything else i need?

garrett toomey, a user on this board can help you out. the update is the same whether you get the cd from poineer or an update from him. the only difference being i believe Garrett's drives have the most recent Gracenote Database and the newest XM icons you can find his classified here: http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14915 he also will update your current hdd if you dont want to purchase another seperate drive

sorry, i didnt read your whole post, try to initiate the pairing from the headunit, you ill need to set your Storm to "listen" for a device to find it in the settings menu, then set up connectin, and click listen

try 0000 as your passcode
