  1. I have been told that they stopped the sports , at least when Baseball isn't happening, as it is the schedules and scores, etc of NFL, NBA, NHL , etc and that was upsetting alot of XM customers who were being reminded of all the wonderful sports they are not getting on their XM service. This kind of makes sense , as early in the day, I would see the upcoming schedule and make a mental note that so and so game was going to be on, and then would make a note of it from my XM screen and then tune into the game on that 'other' sat service LOL ... Okay, here is go again, but , you know w
  2. You make a very good point and I do appreciate that very much. The reason is simple. Because the install quality at this point wins out. It's a sweet install and very clean, right down to having figured out well before what is now common knowledge how to connect up the factory steering wheel buttons, and even keeping the OnStar integrated and working 100%, etc. I don't 'hate' anyone. But, no one likes to get taken advantage of and hopefully you won't ever have the need to rely on any of these two companies for anything important. Also, as I have both Sat services, I get the be
  3. It's not 'broken' they are not providing the service as per STATS.com !!!
  4. I hate it when people have a problem then don't let everyone who may read about it later on if it ever got fixed or not. Soooo, to be fair, here's the situation regarding the LA Nav Traffic outage. The ver 1.2 disc that should have been sent by Pioneer months and months previous was the source of the problem the entire time. XM changed their signal and the 1.0 disc was outdated to use Nav Traffic. So, the Nav Traffic is 'On' again, and we are now back to useless outdated information that has no time stamps and hardely ever is accurate in any way shape or form. If you are in the
  5. SportsFan ... I think you are right! Wow, good call.
  6. Not exactly effective as if you used this feature you'd soon realize that it does NOT take into account the direction you are traveling and/or the 'route' at all. I believe that was the point of the original question. In short, the answer is NO, and best thing you can do is to take your eyes off the road at 70MPH and try to figure out if the POI is ahead behind or another direction from where you want to go by way of the map icon next to the name of the POI that shows up. This is just in about 100 other weak features that even the basic GM stock navigation system does better than this

  9. Kicks A** , you will be VERY happy with both the sound quality and the program lineups.
  10. Jason, I have an ISO for D1 Ver 1.2 and can't figure out where I'm supposed to place the logos and/or otherwise how to use these awesome logos you made. I already burned a 'backup' that i use instead of the actual OEM disc, as it tracks better, and never ever have the boot up or other problems any more , so would like to add in the logos, as it's really much safer to see logos while driving than having to read the screens , etc. Basically, am I sleeping at the switch here and miss a place where you posted a how to page? Happy Holidays, Thanks K
  11. I have the XM box + Sirius + Ipod all directly into the D-1. The Source buttons work as follows XM = XM Siruis = Sirius EXT 1 = Ipod Adapter (as no Ipod Source Button on D-1) Also, have monster A/V cables for other devices I want to use from time to time tucked into the glove box and ready to do = A/V button. Hope this helps K
  12. Finally, after months and months and months of time, I got the 1.2 D-1 disc and it seems to have corrected the traffic problem. If you are using a 1.0 disc you need to update to the 1.2, which is free for registered owners of D-1. There are still many other concerns with the D-1 unit and the 1.2 update is still very old and has other problems, but to fix the traffic data issue, you first must have at least the 1.2 disc to begin with. This would also explain (possibly) why the 60MP Upgrade disc worked as well, as one would assume the software would be compliant with the XM data signal
