Reducing to £400, anyone interested, any offers?

Hello, My apologies if this thread is in the wrong place. I thought this would be the best place for it. So I have an un modded Avic F50BT for sale. Had it for a few years now, no problems, maps could probably do with an update as I've never done it and I'm pretty sure it's on the latest firmware version. Only selling as looking for a new car and new car will have navigation etc built in. I'm looking for £500 ONO. Judging by the listings on ebay this is relatively cheap. Many thanks!

Hi Guys Well after searching the forum for any related issues i didnt find anything that really is like the problem im having. Basically i updated my iphone 4 to the latest firmware a while ago and everything was fine for weeks but then the other day it started to reboot continuously after playing a couple of songs until i unplug my iphone and then it boots fine. I plug it back in and instantly the headunit reboots continually. At first i thought it was the head unit so i downloaded the latest firmware and installed it. Just a quick question although i dont think it will be a quick answer. Has anyone got the VR catalogue to work on the EU version of the F900BT? i would really like to get it working, im not bothered about not being able to use VC to ring people just want it for ease of music selecting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can someone please provide me with the latest EU iGo folder which works with the F900BT i have an iGo8 folder but i have no idea what im supposed to copy over and what not to. Ive just wasted 30 minutes of my time because the myflash disk is too big to transfer onto my headunit which means i have copied over stuff i shouldnt have but dont know what?

Hi Baedarlboo, thanks for your reply again. I have tried the link again and it does actually work so im not sure why it didnt work the first time. I have downloaded the file however i am unsure of what maps to use? could you supply me with the IGO folder you have to place in with the APL2 folder as i think this is what has been causing me the problems all along. When the system boots up obviously i get the system startup in progress message but i can still acess the radio and phone settings etc just not anything on the satnav side. I very much appreciate your help. Thank you so much.

Well i tried the link and the initial links to download the files were no longer available so after reading the 19 pages of this topic i found no other links relevent, i found a link that did work for IGO8 so i downloaded this file and used the 3.0 update file from page 15 of this topic from MYITGUY, i replaced the igo folder in APL2 with the IGO8 folder and transferred onto my unit. I still get the system startup in progress. please wait. also now when i view the version under maps version it says no maps. I think this is to do with the IGO8. Maybe you can re-try with this" viewtopic.php?f=34&t=32351 He has it all packaged with the newest firmware....just use the EU map instead. Good luck. Thank you so much, will try as soon as i get home from work

I then realised on the myflashdisk the US maps were on it so i thought this was my problem, however after deleting these and putting the EU maps on then running the update again i still get the same message. Has anyone got the full 3.0 myflashdisk EU version???? Any suggestions please? Update... iv just copied over my backup but im still getting the sys

Bit of an update i got in my car to go to work this morning and still no power. Wehn i got to work i turned the engine off and switched the ignition back on again and it worked! I finished work and got back in the car to go home and it no longer works again. Please help i hae no idea whats causing this.

Hi guys Got in the car yesterday and it was working fine all day. after driving around for most of the day i went out to pick someone up and found my head unit would not switch on at all. I literally get nothing no button lights no backlight on the screen absolute FA. It has since not powered on at all today and i have been out in it a few times. I have taken it out and checked the wiring behind, all fine. I have checked all the fuses again all fine. i have tried pressing the reset button on the front with no success i have disconnected the power from the back and reconnected it still noth

Dont know if this will be correct for you but if you take the black surround off you should see a clip either side of the unit. You need the "keys" to slot either side then you should be able to pull it out, If you dont have the keys you should be able to use some sort of flat object to release the clips. Good Luck
