  1. Hi. On a few occasions now, when on a journey of over an hour or so, my D3 starts to play up. The screen often turns itself off, the sat nav completely stops working... and when I manage to finally get the sat nav disc out it is boiling hot. Once I turn off my car and leave the D3 to cool down for a good few hours... everything works again, although I do sometimes have to reset the system. Any thoughts on why my D3 may be over heating and what I can do about this problem? Thanks.

  3. ah really... thats awesome, thanks stonecoldnimrod. i'll definitely buy one from the apple store and give it a try. I wonder why people have said that it wont charge the new ipod nano? so you never remove your ipod from your D3 apart from to add songs? and yeh post the results of the kensington adaptor please street_stallions. thanks
  4. really!? its just everywhere on the internet Ive looked it says that the scosche passport will not work. So just to clarify you have: the new ipod nano 4th generation chromatic, the Avic D3, and the CD-i200 cable... and it allows the ipod to charge? I just want to be sure so that I dont waste my money on something that is incompatible. thanks.
  5. does anyone know of a charging adaptor that works with the new 4th gen ipod nano's, the CD-i200 cable, and the avic D3? I've been researching and both the scosche passPORT and the griffin adaptor are not compatible with pioneer HU's apparantly. Very frustrating. Any ideas?
  6. I have unzipped the rar files using winRAR, and I have been left with one big ISO file of 6.7GB compared with the previous 2.9GB. I have the Verbatim dual layer 8GB DVDs and was just wondering if someone could walk me through the next steps on how to copy all this onto a fully working sat nav disc for my avic D3... thank you in advance for your speedy responses

  8. Is this for Europe or the USA? thanks.
  9. anyone with any tips please...
  10. Just a few questions on how to burn a sat nav disc for the avic D3 please... I have the dual layer verbatim 8GB dvd's: what is the best program to use? is there a free one off the internet? does anyone have a good link to the pioneer CNDV-80mt western europe disc? I'm really struggling on the very basics of where to start. so thanks very much.
  11. I've currently got an avic D3 and the cd-i200 cable, along with my 4th generation ipod nano. I am thus able to get the ipod music to work, but not the video. I've got hold of some wires for the back of the D3 that allow me to attach a composite AV cable with the red, wite and yellow heads. obviously this will allow me to play the video from the ipod... but I was just wondering whether this cable would also allow me to play my music from the ipod and have the ipod interface on the d3... allowing me to remove the cd-i200 cable and simply have the one composite av cable? or will i still need
  12. hey. i have the cd-i200 cable, an avic d3, and an ipod 4th generation nano. the music plays great...(although as discussed numerous times, the video does not!)... but I was under the impression that the cable would charge my ipod whilst it was plugged in!? for me it is the complete opposite... even though I have the ipod charge on the d3 set to "on", it seems to drain my ipod very quickly and once the battery has fully run out whilst plugged in... the ipod interface goes blank and i cant play my music! and also... when i press the sat nav button the message comes up..."please insert the a
  13. yeh I'm currently having a similar problem. I purchased my D3 off ebay, and it's all in great working order apart from the sat nav. when i press the sat nav button the message comes up..."please insert the appropriate disk. this is not the appropriate disk". the guy who i bought it off sent me the western europe CNDV-70 disc, which evidently doesnt work. I thus cant get to the navigation menu to even adjust my custom background, get the gauges etc. does anyone have any ideas? is it simply that I need the updated disc or could there be another reason? Thanks.
  14. Haha oops...I sincerely apoligize lol. That looks awesome though. Would you be able to just made a few adjustments for me please... - could you make the "seat sport" and "pioneer" writing black. - move the CHIMP over just a touch so that there is some space between the edge of the picture and the CHIMP lol, and if there is room to do the same with the feet as well. - and move the piooner sign over a tad so there some space between the hand and the wording. thanks very much. look forward to hearing from you soon.
