Do you need a code to activate it? Can someone post them to download?

Hi Guys, I have a AVIC-D3 under a futureshop warranty. What is a good way to 'break it' so they will replace it. Normally if it is unrepairable they will replace it. Thanks
-
just burned without verify and it works... by my area isn't there!!

sorry guys... right off their website, map data update only: Upgrade for the DVD Touch Panel Navigation Systems Compatible with (AVIC-N5, AVIC-N4, AVIC-N3, AVIC-N2, AVIC-N1, AVIC-D3, AVIC- D2, AVIC-D1, AVIC-88D, AVIC-80D, AVIC-90D, and AVIC-9DVD) when used with Pioneer Touch Panel Display only. Map data update only. Model year 2009 TeleAtlas database on 2 DVD Discs featuring nearly 12 million POI, US and Canada coverage (including Alaska and Hawaii).

good point, it didn't click when I read that
-
wonder if that means no firmware update either... "The discs contain a greater map coverage for the the whole of Europe, with 8.4 million kilometres across 26 countries. "

mine tells you how much time is left on the trip along with the KM's but it is always way off and doesnt change based on your current speed.

after lots of searching I figure out I needed to reset the sensor and now it works fine... My speedpulse doesn't work but it worked before... ODD...i have a 2005 Altima with Bose and it is hooked up to the pink wire.

Hi Everyone, I have a AVIC-D3... Everything WORKED fine... All of a sudden it doesn't detect my speed with the VSS wire and the GPS shows me going backwards or sideways on roads. I have a good GPS signal, 6+ satellites... I noticed in 3D status all the bars are complete except two, and they are really close. The slope is way off, but the movement left/right is correct. Any idea what the issue could be?

you could cancel the route, then quickly load it up again by going to destination history...
-
does it freeze also on boot up? or will sometimes make it to the map but go very slow?

Hi Guys, I have my D3 installed and working right now; however I am using the D3's amp not my Bose in my 05 Altima. I got the new harness for low level RCA so my AMP can do the work - not the D3. My question is, the first time around I used electrical tape...its going to take 1hr to remove it all now. Is electrical tape the best idea? should I use Murettes (sp?) I don't have a soldering iron so that is out of the question. I live in Ottawa, Canada, so the inside of my car can go from -40 to +50/60 Celsius
