  1. See if Circuit City has a NIB or even open box AVICD2 in stock. Take the face apart and swap the knobs/pin. Then super glue your broken knob to the new AVICD2, put back in box and return. Stick it to the man. Chris.
  2. Maybe go back to the car it was stolen out of and retrieve it?
  3. that too is a valid point. At least with a ttap or scotchlock the odds of damaging nearby wiring is minimal. Yeah, may not damage nearby wiring, but have fun trouble shooting, when the t-tap partially severes the wire. T-Taps are for hack shops and Pep Boys mechanics. Grab a soldering iron and some good 3M super 33. Cut the insulation back on the wire to be tapped into, using a razor knife. Wrap wire around exposed wire, solder and tape.
  4. IP Bus and RCA's from DVD Changer to Input on D1. RCA (Video & Audio) to the rear monitor from D1. Then there should be a way to set it so the rear video output of the D1 is for the DVD source and not a mirror of what is on the D1, so in this sense the DVD video will "pass through" the D1 to the rear monitor as if it were directly connected, but at the same time you could choose to switch to the DVD in the D1 if you wanted to. Chris.
  5. Theres actually a page online somewhere on a mod to take a magnet/sensor assembly for a bicylcle digital speedo and use it on the Model T for a digital speedometer. I could just tap into that for VSS. Now finding a dash kit is another story I always brag, its got 30" wheels on it, and that was 90 years before DONKS were taking over the South with them
  6. I don't know anything about them (except that it was the first production line automobile). I'm just going with what I saw on wikipedia. Try and make one little joke... Whew! Tough crowd! Production started in September of '08, but as is practice today they were then labled as 1909's. Mine is 'technically' a 1916 based on the serial number on the engine block--but its registered as a 1915.
  7. '08 Model T (1908 that is!) 1909 Was the first year for the Model T. I'm the proud owner of a 1915 Model T Touring
  8. Just make sure the antennas are either absolutely parallel or perpendicular. So either 0 or 90 degrees, anything between will cause a shift in the space-time continium, which will cause the navigation unit to direct you towards a worm hole.

  12. I've had this happen two times in the 1.5 years I've had my D1. A reset via the faceplate did not work. What I ended up having to do was pull the fuse which supplied constant power to the unit. This reset it, getting it back in business. You can reset the unit this way three ways: A.find the correct fuse and pull it for 30 seconds or longer. B.pull the radio and unplug it for 30 seconds or longer. C.disconnect the battery for 30 seconds or longer. Which ever is easiest. Option A. would be ideal if you can find the correct fuse, while B. would be the next best. C. I would save a
  13. I'm not familiar enough with the Ford units, and I do know that Pioneer some connection with Ford, but I don't think the Ford Products mirror the Pioneer Navis in the same manner as Eclipse and Toyota/Lexus. I would also venture to say that the factory Ford Escape Navis aren't a Pioneer piece at all.
