  1. Just wanted to say thanks. My unit is working fine, but I lost my backup from a hard drive failure. I immediately made a backup of my modded unit, but it's always good to have the factory original. Thanks a bunch.
  2. This is a modified version of some of the Toyota Slash Pics on this thread. Big thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread! Hope you Toyota guys like it.
  3. You're right, I mixed up the wire colors. I edited my post.
  4. You can hard wire a switch to the ignition power wire (red wire). That way all you have to do is flip a switch to turn off your head unit. It should work the same as turning off the car, because the battery power wire (yellow wire) would still be connected. I would suggest you either mount the switch somewhere it can't accidentally be switched, or use a switch with a cover. Edit: Corrected wire color.
  5. Thanks 6605stang, I entered the card number and everything is working perfectly. The transaction went smoothly, and I was up and running in under 2 hours. I blame MSN for taking too long to sendthe activation to my head unit. I live and work in the NYC area and traffic updates work great.
  6. It's never safe to assume. Especially when you're dealing with electricity. If it were me, I would double check all the pins on the new and old harness. If the wire colors match up, you should be good. It should take no longer then a few minutes.
