Thanks for the quick response. I'll give up hacking for a more stable platform any day of the week. My old one had way to many issues. I just won a x920bt on fleabay for $635. Time to list mine and let it be someone else's concern. For what I wanted it to do it just wasn't cutting it. I loved the flexibility...but the instability is for the birds. The only thing I want the to add is support for Android phones. I just picked up an HTC EVO 4G and I'm a little upset that the X920BT supports BB over Android...boooooooooo Pioneer...boooooooo. I'm tired of fumbling around with my unstable F90BT. I've reloaded, reflashed, yada yada yada...but whatever I do it won't operate normally. So I've decided to give up and get a new one. I was about to wash my hands with Pioneer...especially when my F90BT started to exhibit the dreaded engine/alt whine, but after looking at the new revamped X920BT I figured I give it another go. Now I come here and find out that the X920BT isn't even hackable!!! That stinks..but not a major deal breaker. I mean if I went with a kenwood, Clarion, etc their interfaces are already ugly...so Pioneer already

Does anyone know if Pioneer will do warranty work on a unit that was purchased on eBay? I got mine less than a year ago....I registered on the site when I got it.

What have you tried so far? Did you disconnect battery terminals yet?

I would recommend the above steps too. All it does for me is act like a band aid though. My issue comes back repeatedly on it's own. Does Pioneer do warranty repairs if the unit was purchased on eBay? I'm at my wits end with this thing. I'm close to selling it and getting something else...

I'm having the same issue and have tried everything under the sun. reloads removing batt cables formatting and restored virgin files Whatever I try the issue comes back within hours or one or two days of the car sitting. The deck will work fine, as it has since I installed it back in December. I would like to mention that my problem started after I picked my car up from the dealership after getting my emissions test. Perfect Man...ty. It looks great I'm still having a problem using these files. Can anybody help? I'm using CMH's mod. I used 7z to open the image.res file. I copied over the new image files and replaced the ones that were in the 'common' folder. After that I used 7z to rezip the file, renamed it and uploaded it. After rebooting the deck I don't see any icons, just words. If I change back to the stock image.res file that's included in CMH's hack everything works. Anyone have any ideas??

I may be missing something, but I can't get any of these to work. I followed the instructions on the Wiki page, but it won't work. I'm using CMH's mod...so I opened it up in 7z, replaced 4 of the 6 image files, 7zipped it back up and all I get is a blank screen with words listed under where the icons should be. In fact I can press where the icon should be and it works, but I'm missing icons....and not just the ones I tried to replace. I'm missing ALL of them. Is there another step, or special settings to use when 7ziping Image.res back up? This is what I did: Installing Custom Icons

What happens is if I turn the key to the 'On' position the buttons light up and the deck boots, but if I just start my car it appears to be dead and not boot. I first noticed it with my remote start.
