  1. Well I've been away from this site for awhile (victim of the job market caused lifestyle change)...it's nice to see some great changes with AVIC411...I noticed a torrent for Z3 2010 map update. I joined "MediaFire" and proceeded to garrettoomeys torrent site and tried to begin uploading...it seems that there is no source for the file??? Or am I missing something? I plan to seed the system once I have the seeds. any comments...anybody? Thanks Henryj
  2. G35 Mass, Just to let you know that your last uploads worked great...No problems extracting or converting...I only changed the two DATA folders which saved all my settings, screens, music etc. I'll test further today but all should be fine. Thanks again Henryj
  3. G35mass, Thank you for the rapidshare uploads. However I downloaded the files and when I was extracting it went to part 008 then error, I continued the extraction then had an error on a eight or nine other parts???. I redownloaded the files and made certain that I used the correct password(avic411.com) and again had exactly the same problem??? Has anybody downloaded and extrcted succsessfully? Maybe I am not downloading or extracting correctly. Please advise Thank you, Henryj
  4. It would be interesting to know if this "Anti Freeze" firmware update also provides the ability to do the 2 wire bypass on the pre June Z2s.
  5. If you were using the flasher method, most likely your parking brake wire isn't hook up or grounded.

______________ Same thing here what he said
  7. Look at your forth picture ( the second one showing the back of the unit)??? it looks like the wire is in the wrong hole??
  8. Hyperite...GREAT job, This is what I and most likely many others had been looking for...one question what about the files in PRG0? from what I have viewed from the other systems( Z1 early and after blue tooth and Z2 early), those files had been the same as those in PRG1...any comment...should we also insert the DATA folder into PRG0? Is PRG0 the folder that is used when the system resets to factory settings? wheeoo that's alot of questions for one post I'm sorry you don't have to answer them all if you don't want to. but this is rather exciting.
  9. The disc I was told about is the one that you supposedly have to buy for $250. I'll post in here when I found out more. I'm sorry to tease, but that's all the info I have for now. Another Pioneer rep on another forum that I frequent just confirmed that the upgrade disc will be available from Pioneer's website as a FREE download. He said next Thursday it should be up on the site. If Pioneer would be making available a Z2 update for existing Z2 owners via download from there site the following paragraph would not matter, however if it doesn’t come through consider the followin
  10. This link could give you the info about where to get a hard drive. Also I should add that I live in the southwest and daily temps are above 100 degrees F and I've never had a "system freeze" during boot using this drive. it may be worth a try for those that are having that problem. The HDD may or may not be the cause but this is low cost way to answer that question. http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 0&start=30
  11. My point being...let's look into the PRG0 & PRG1 APL folders of the yellow dot Z2 for the HMIManager as a starting point...or let's try replacing the entire PRG0 & PRG1 folders.
  12. Remember it seemed that the only files resposible for changing the bypass from "original" Z1 to the "after bluetooth" Z1 were the "HMIManager" in the APL folder of the PRG1 folder and the "PRG.FLG" that must be placed into the SDATA partition. .....Is it possible that these same files from the "yellow dot" Z2 could replace those appropriatly into the earlier Z2 for success? Anybody with the "Yellow dot" Z2 care to provide those files for the cause?
  13. Try saying "vicinity search" first
  14. Hmmm.... was the serial number on the box that it came in on a yellow sticker? If not the bypass may quit after a few miles.
