1. Thank, I wish I took pictures of the process. I'm in Philly
2. I took alittle more drastic approach, but it works for me. Removed the factory antenna Opened it up, torx bits and removed the board (Desoldered it and removed it all) Took apart both my Z1 antenna, and my XM/traffic module antenna. This made them small enough to package inside the factory antenna base. Cables route thru the antenna base and above the headliner, right up to the dash board. Signal strengh is outstanding
3. Is that ML what you installed the Z1 into? Check the spedometer area for internal light sensor Mine has an amber LED in that same area Which cable in the vehicle's harness did you tap the Z1 illumination to? I have an 03 ML350 and just installed my Z1 last week. Do you have a Bose system?
4. Can you pair the Pearl to any other bluetooth headsets? My company issues Pearls, but IT puts their own policies on them. Basically limits what the user can install/change/mess up. Similar to Admin rights on a PC. Just a thought
5.

Has anyone found a fix for this yet?
Mine did this, I could even feel the screen push in alittle the first time I touched it. I sent it in for the backup camera repair, the screen cracked in shipment. Pioneer fixed the LCD and the rattle went away, no more slack in the screen either. Its the same unit I sent it, so repair is possible.
The rattle is back !!!! It does it at every angle except flush. Really driving me crazy. Anyone have any luck fixing thiers?
6. Yup, Its possible, I have it in my 98 GPGT right now. Lots of plastic trimming as was said. But the distance from the top of the AC control panel, to just underneath the AC vents will fit a 2Din. Im machining a custom bracket and will post a complete blueprint when done. Here are a few shots.

Got an extra $5500 :D Forward Looking Infared Heres a Video
8. Not really a lot to illustrate with a schematic. The bluetooth unit is prewired and has one cable and connector. Just plut it into the red jack labled "TEL" on the Z1..... thats it. Then go thru the menu to register your phone Credit to "listen2mp3" for this photo.
9. On the rear of the unit is a single threaded hole. Sometimes used to mount a guide pin or dowel depending on the car. Does anyone know the size and thread pitch of this. It's next to the fan. Is it M5x6 like the ones on the side? I want to use it as an anchor point for an anti-theft steel cable. Thanks -Rick Credit to "listen2mp3" for this gianormous hi res photo. 10. Check the cable coming out of the camera. Mine was bent alittle to much because of the tight area. The video would flicker in and out, once I fixed the bend it went away. If you sent your unit in for warranty work, they will fix your unit. Not swap it out for a newer one.
11. If you send in your unit, be sure to pad it good. Also get insurance from UPS ($1600 only cost $8) My screen cracked when I sent it in for the backup camera repair. They will work on your unit, and not swap it out for another. So dont worry about getting a newer non-flash friendly unit.
12. Sounds like the same thing that happend to mine. Even though its your second z1, its a common problem. I had to send it in for warranty work to replace a processor that controls that video input. I knew the camera was good, since it worked on the AV input. 14. Can you find a button to use as "OK" on the disclaimer screen. My avic90 remote did this, and I had it set to an unused steering wheel button. The remote was stolen but I still have the PACswi in, and all of my old functions stil work with the Z1, all except the OK.
