I have my Z1 connected to a rear flip down screen. For a few years its been working fine, but lately when watching a dvd the AVIC will display to the rear screen and play on its creen. Then all of a sudden the video to rear screen will stop and my flip down displays no signal. The video will continue to play on the avic screen. If I play around with the rear output options from rear to DVD and mirror the video will come back for a few min. then drop again. Has anyone seen this before or knows what may be causing this?

Does anyone know where the VSS wire is on a 2008 toyota highlander Base model?

The second software partition on the mega image has 365MB of data and the partition on the FTP is 428MB of data. This is where the problem lies i believe.

I D/L the image from megapath and i have a Z1 that was upgraded last year to Z2 and now Z3 with this image and I can confirm that when hitting the voice command button my unit reboots. I am currently D/L the image from the FTP and will try with that next.

Hitachi DK23EA-30 30GB 4200 rpm ... Full day with this HDD and no problems at all .. radio, dvd, bluetooth ipod etc.. Not one reboot.

It may be easier to just ship him a copy on the update instead. That way theres no chance you currupt the HDD in the process.

Toshiba MK4018GAS 40GB 4200 rpm - reboots Hitachi HTS548040M9AT00 40GB 5400 rpm- reboots Fujitsu MHT2040AT 40GB 4200 rpm - reboots All 3 would reboot after 10-15min. Currently trying - Hitachi DK23EA-30 30GB 4200 rpm - Tried for 20min and no reboots so far. Tommorow when i drive to work ill know for sure.

Where did you pay $5 to unlock the drive at?

I ddidnt even have my phone hooked up and it still reboots every 10-30min. While driving or sitting still. Its defently the drive specs. I this morning used a 5400rpm hitachi and that reboots as well.

Ive used 3 different HD's 2 toshibas and one fujitsu. All 3 reboot here and there. Sometimes even when not moving. The only thing i can probally think off is that the original drive requires 5V DC 1.1A all the drives i have tried are 5V DC and either .7A or .5A I also didnt remove the security on the drives so all 3 are now locked( I have about 10 to play with). I am going to try a Hitachi drive now. Now I wonder can I just put the old Z1 drive back in and will it work being that the new software updated the firmware on the unit. Thanks to all who helped put this image out BTW.

I dont think anyone is hosting the pioneer update DVD's. This thread is for a backup image of the hard drive with Z2 software on it already updated and patched.

mabe if there is someone that lives near AFmagnum they can pick up the files and help upload. I can do it.
