  1. I found the problem went away after installing the latest IOS version (4.3) on the iPhone... hope that helps!
  2. I just installed my X920bt yesterday and it seems it pauses the iPhone when Bluetooth connects. It's a minor annoyance, but wondering if this is something anyone else sees and if there is any fix? Thanks, Kevin
  3. Thanks for clarifying that... I guess I went straight from the 3rd Gen to iPhone. That explains it! Kevin
  4. Hi, I was trying to hook up my old iPod classic 20gb with the F900bt hoping I could just leave it in the car since my iPhone will use bluetooth for making calls. In any case, I get an error message saying it's not a supported iPod. The support matrix shows it supported with software 1.1.1 and I have 3.1.1. Am I just out of luck? 1.1.1 seems crusty-old to me Anyone have a fix? Thanks, Kevin
  5. That first sentence made me laugh The fascia pulls off with some gentle pressure (at least it did in my case). It will probably help if the interior of the car is nice and warm, since it makes the plastic a bit more flexible. Pay attention when re-installing it as it looks the same upside-down. If I remember correctly, it has a connecting "tab" on the top side... Hope that helps, Kevin
  6. Thanks for the instructions specific to the xB - I plan to do the mod this weekend. One interesting note: I saw a youtube video on performing the mod (not on a Scion), and the guy who did it did NOT ground either wire. What he did was to re-locate the mute wire and then splice it to the brake wire (I think the brake wire to the car-side was cut)! It seems a bit simpler, but wondering if it makes any difference? I guess the basic difference is that it isn't grounded. Kevin
  7. I've read several posts on the hardwire bypass and I think I know what to do. Can someone confirm: 1 relocate mute wire 2 ground the relocated mute wire and the parking brake wire is that it? Kevin
  8. Ok - I was able to get the audio controls on the wheel working. The wired remote was plugged in to the "digital output" jack. I plugged it in to the correct jack and all is well. While I was in there I removed the cable wrap on the iPod/USB cable and ran in out the bottom of the dash rather than in the glove box. Now I have more flexibility on where I put my iPhone I didn't get to the handbrake mod yet, but that's next... Kevin
  9. Awesome, Chris. Sounds like the facia is similar to the 2000 Durango I traded in for the RS6 - pop it off and undo a couple screws to pull the deck. I'll take a look at that today - thanks!
  10. So I was reading the user manual yesterday and found that I should be getting an on-screen notification (plus possible TTS message) when an incoming SMS (text) message is received on a bluetooth linked phone. I have a first gen 16GB iPhone with 3.01 OS and everything else works well. Is this an issue with the F900bt (firmware is 2.006) or the iPhone? Any way to fix it? Thanks, Kevin
  11. Thanks... I guess I'll have to deal with it. It seems so boring
  12. Thanks! Sorry - I didn't have notifications turned on I guess I need to take my xB in to the service department then, because my audio controls on the wheel do nothing! I think I'll try to live without the mod for now - probably safer for me
  13. I've got the 2009 Scion xB Release Series 6.0 - had it a couple of days now. I really like the F900BT. A question for you guys - do you steering-wheel audio controls work? Mine don't and I plan to take it in to Scion this weekend to see what they say. Since its factory integrated, I think they should work... So, I assume this Hand Brake mod is so that you can enter addresses when you are not parked? Can you also dial with the phone pad? Thanks, Kevin
