  1. Hello everyone..... question, I have a F900BT installed in my car. Wanted to know if I bought any one of the newer x series model ei..X930BT will I be able to use the same connections I already have for the F900BT ?? Trying to avoid the install fee, so I can do it myself. Any help would be appreciated.
  2. After ordering the 3.0 and updating the unit, what are recommended fixes/hacks that I can put in the system to improve it?
  3. I tried searching for this thread "phonebook edit software" put it on the search bar and can't find it.
  4. Well, i'm ordering the 3.0 update tonight in hope that this will improve my system including the voice recognition. Good luck with your 3.01update. let us know how that works out for you. I'll update how 3.0 goes for me as far as the VR performance.
  5. In your opinion will the 3.0 update improve the VR aswell? Also this update has to be purchased, correct?
  6. I wanted to know what would be the first software /hacks that I should do in order to improve my system and make my experience with this unit more enjoyable. My biggest problem is the Voice recognition, but I think I can do with out it if I can get my unit to do cool stuff. I've searched the forums but alot of the post are old and I'm not sure where to start. I have the F900BT with 2.006 and the 2008 maps.
  7. Gary your 100% on point! My google voice recognition works o.k, not great but I don't have to be really near the mic so it can recognize what I want. Unlike when I want to dial a phone # via VR. IS THERE ANYWAY TO RECTIFY THIS....ANYONE???? Or should I just call Pioneer. I hear there not much help. Thanks for the response Gary.
  8. I take back the word "garbage" I think it was to strong of a word to describe the unit. Again my biggest problem with the unit it's the reason I got it to begin with, it the voice recognition. It really has me P...OFF!! I can't have my mic any closer, it's clipped to my visor. If feel like clipping the dam thing to my shirt. I don't know what to do at this point with it. When I got my unit it had the 2.0 update, I just updated it to the 2.006 and It' is better with the touch response.
  9. Simple for you maybe but I not made of money! "SELL it"....I'm not going to get nearly as much for this unit of what I got it for. This thing has lost it's value becuase people are realizing, that this unit is garbage! Not only was the system pricey but then on top of that having installer installe it wasn't cheap either. Then it's also going to cost me to have it uninstalled. Are you kidding! Trust me the first chance I get I'm unistalling it and getting another system. Thanks for your great input medicZ71
  10. This unit is not what it was made out to be by the manufacturer. It's great that people have found ways to hack into it but the hacks are mostly things that should have been intergrated to the system to begin with. The navigation works well in my system, even though it does take me through the longest route. The dvd player works well also but thats about it. Oh, and it looks nice on my car. I bought the system for it's "great voice recognition" 1. It barley ever picks up what i say, if it it does it totaly does what I didn't tell it to do. 2. The voice of the bluetooth SUCKS !! ver
  11. UPDATE: My factory mic didn't work with the unit. I reconnected the Pioneer mic and still no change I've tried every possible location for placing the mic and unfortunately I have to be really close to the dam thing in order for it to pick up what I'm saying. I tried telling it to call someone and name and it doesn't pick up anything. I then tell it to dial a # and it picks up the # only when I'm close to the mic. When I'm away from the mic it dials a # but not the # I asked for and it doesn't even dial the # completely. At this point I don't know if it's the mic or the system it self
