  1. Did you try plugging your iphone into the other USB cable on the unit? That was the problem when I tried installing Carplay.
  2. Does anyone know how to disable the speed warnings in Carplay Maps? I know how to do this in the non-Carplay maps program but I can't figure this out with Carplay. Any assistance would be a big help.
  3. Yes I do belive it does use an IR sensor and an IR remote that I connected to the steering wheel. Hope this helps.
  4. I got the Pioneer CD-SR100 and it works pretty well for me.
  5. That's exactly what I do, just push the aux button. The only drawback is you lose audio but better that then scraping my truck while trying to park.
  6. I Had mine installed so I can park and not hit anything in front of me like concrete deviders.
  7. Does anyone know if CarPlay will play movies that are on your iPhone?
  8. Things worked great for awhile but now it is back to not automatically syncing with the Bluetooth on my iphone 5 and the 8000. It shows on both the phone and the 8000 that there is a connection but I still have to manually re-connect the device to work. Does any one know if this might be happening because I have to many things hooked up to Bluetooth?
  9. I think I might have found a solution to my Bluetooth problem, I just make sure that my iPhone is hooked up to the 8000 unit before I turn the engine in my vehicle on. I hope this is a permanent solution.
  10. I'm haveing a problem where the 8000 wont let me use the siri voice commands with out manualy going into my Iphone 5 bluetooth settings and reconnect the bluetooth connection again even though it already says it's connected. Also is there a way to give permate perrmission for a program to have access to the 8000 system for example Pandora or am I doomed to have to hit allow every time I choose use a mode on the 8000?
  11. I just got off the phone with Pioneer tech support and they confirmed this to be true. Had I known this, I would have gotten a diffrent system. I had a Avic-110bt and it had voice commands, this just seems like a step back. I want to be able to switch between modes with out taking my eyes off the road. This seems unsafe. I wonder what your thoughts are.
  12. Does anyone have a list or knows of a list of voice commands that work with the Avic-8000NEX? For example, I would like to know what the command to change from one mode to the other such as SirusXM or HDradio. Thanks for any help.
  13. Thanks. It took me a little while to figure how to change the setting but I did and I'll test it tomorrow.
  14. Does anyone know how to enable this feature? It's grayed out for me and won't let me select it. Thanks for the help.
  15. Yep that was exactly what I was looking for, thanks for the help.
