  1. I've seen many comments on the best places to put the Z1 mic for the Bluetooth use to work "properly" and wondered if there was anything resembling a consensus on where to put it? My install is coming up and I wanted to try and get it right the first time as I assume trying to move it around later will be difficult...? I have a Mazda CX-7 so I'm imagining the interior space is more akin to an SUV rather than a car... Thanks!
  2. Do "newer" Z1 units include the Bluetooth update already installed on the unit? Or do i still have to do the ISO thing? The installers are doing the bypass for me but I didn't know if I will need to supply the disc for an update or if I even need to bother... My install is tomorrow and I just wanted to make sure I have everything ready to go before I go down there... Thanks!
  3. Was trying to get a "guess-timate" to what installation costs of this unit run? I know it depends an bunch of things but was looking to hear some ballpark figures... Thanks...
  4. So I'm getting a Z1 installed into my CX-7 in the next week or so... I'm also getting the XM receiver, iPod adapter and Bluetooth adapter installed at the same time... Probably the license plate cam as well, I wanna see what they have first before I say "go"... I plan on having them do ducatiboy's grounding-bypass and also wire up my steering wheel audio controls to the Z1 the best they can... I need to decide where to put the mic too right? I was hoping to hear from you all if there are any concerns or issues or extra "things" I should be looking out for before they begin?
  5. Anyone have the ND-BC2? How is it? I'm trying to decide on a camera too... The plate cam thing seems to be a decent option that I hadn't thought about yet... This one sounds great but I don't want (what seems to be a) giant "block" mounted on my car: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... c&start=15 Low-light performance is important, as well as the "mirroring" option as well... Does the ND-BC2 support those features? Thanks.
  6. Looking into getting the Z1 installed into my CX-7... Will I be able to control basic audio playback through my steering wheel controls? Specifically, mute, volume up, volume down, fast forward, rewind, and "mode"? Is this something that's down to the "skill" of the installer? Or do I need to get a CD-SR1 as well? Thanks.
  7. So, I want to get this straight in my head: Since the D3 is a single-DVD/CD drive, do I have to leave the nav DVD in the drive in order to see ANY navigation, or just to input driving directions? If the nav DVD's get "misplaced", I gotta cough up the money for replacements right, as nothing is actually stored in the unit? Also, the D3 has no zone control, correct...? For rear seat DVD playback? I'm graduating from the Honda navigation system in my Accord to either a Z1 or D3 to be installed in a new Mazda CX-7 so I'm trying to whittle down the main differences between these tw
