I had the same situation as you. It ended up being an improperly connected / seated mute wire. I redid the whole connection for the mute and made sure it made contact with the pin on the avic and it finally worked.

thx - so what's the point of having a startup image btw scanning other model threads - i noticed everyone complaining startup time is too slow on their models...so i guess grass is always greener on the other side

Just installed the U310BT and installed the custom splash screen image. Does your custom startup screen image come up everytime you start the car? mine doesn't. It goes immediately to whatever function I was last using before I turned off the car....I'd like to have the splash screen image come up everytime I start up... It does appear if i do a hard reboot though

Does your custom startup screen image come up everytime you start the car or only when you reset the machine? i would like my customer startup image to appear everytime I start the car before it goes into the last used screen. Is this something customizable? Thanks
