  1. Hi

I just bought a AVIC-F30BT, how do I bypass it?

My car has a can bus adaptor (Skoda SuperB)

If I look in post 1, I should move the mute wire, my problem is the myte wire in this radio is in pen 1 and not 2

and the place where it should be moved to, there is allready a wire.

And the hand brake wire goes into the canbus adaptor.

Should I cut the handbrake wire from canbus adaptor and then ground the handbrake wire from the radio?

hope you guys can help me out

    Best regards

  3. Hi all, I'm a new member here, glad i found this site!

Anyway, I have a Z2 that i want to update to the Z3 software/firmware(?) and 2010 maps, I have all the programs required, I however came to a halt. I purchased an IDE-to-USB adapter, which later on I come to find out that you can't unlock HDD's through USB, so I returned it, and I ordered an adapter like the one in the tutorial.

Now my question is: Can the update/unlock/procedure be done with Windows 7? The machine I'll be using is my Dell Dimension2400, which is slow, but always gets the job done.

    Thanks in advance! :-D

It is possible to unlock your HDD without a cable.

If you use the service disk I postet here http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/30763-hdd-unlocking-free/

BUT, you will not be able to turn off ATA serurity on the drive forever.

It will be locked again, when inserting in your Pioneer.

and next time you want to update your HDD, then you need to run the service disk once more, it only takes 2 min.

  4. Hi guys

I want to tell you a way to unlock your HDD for free.

So from today you dont need to pay for unlocking anymore...

even better, this solution keeps your data safe.

Yes this look to good to be true, but it realy works.

It look like Pioneer made there own service disk, and you can now download it via this torrent (inside rar file).

remember to seed when you are done so other people can download it also.

This torrent also includes a service manual.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Title: Service Test Disk (STD) for Pioneer AVIC-Zx/HDx

    Year / Release: 2007

    Supported languages: English

    Compatible with: Pioneer AVIC-Zx/HDx

    Description: Service Test Disk (STD)

A disc that allows you to test your navigation system.

Best of all, there is a function for removeing the internal hard disk lock

Ext. Information: Advanced - Brochure Service Manual

The procedure to unlock your hard disk

    1. Burn "Service Test Disc" on DVD-R disc (+ R does not work)

    2. Ignition Key to the ACC

    3. STD inserted into AVIC

    4. When the disc is inserted, the following title shows "06 INTERNATIO NAL NAVI TEST DISC: GGV1194"

    Then the "Test Menu appears"

    5. During the "Test Menu", select next page

    5. Select option 6 "HDD FLG Set" - p. 214 manual

    6. Now the AVIC unlocks the hard disk

    7. Return to the main menu by pressing the "AV"

    8. On the menu screen "6 HDD FLG Set" will be marked with an asterisk - * which means that the password is temporarily removed

    9. Open the display to horizontal;

    10. Turn the ignition key to 0

    11. Unscrew the two HDD cover T8 screws

    12. Now you can connect the HDD to your PC and perform all the necessary updates

    14. Replace the hard drive into AVIC and tighten the screws

    15. Turn the ignition key to AC

    16. The unit starts and the screen is shut. At this point you can click the Eject button and remove the disc into the drive

Press the switch "RESET" (This action is always advisable to do after work in test mode, the prepare the system for everyday use)

    17. master password will again be restored to disk.

    Happy unlocking

  5. European one has bluetooth built-in, so there are definitely some hardware differences as well

Thanks MisFit, I don't really want to spend $3400 on the UK version if I can mod the Z1 somehow!

I thought the Map updates were done via a cd to the HD? So there is no way of changing country maps with the hard drive?

I wonder if the Z1 and HD3BT are the same unit just with different software on the HD's? If I could clone a UK drive for my Z1 maybe?

    Just a correction...

The European one has NOT bluetooth built-in.

You get the radio and a Bluetoth box, then you connect it to the radio.

I have one my self :)

  6. Hi

fist of all, the AVIC-HD3BT is not only for the russian market, it for the europien market.

    I just installed a AVIC-HD3BT today,

    It is bought in Denmark.

I have grounded the "parking brake" whire.

All works, I can see DVD movies when driving, even enter new address to the navigation.

So I guess AVIC-HD3BT is quite easy to bypass

Hope the info is for any use
