  1. The torrent file link still isn't working, for me atleast. Anyone else? Update: I used the SD card torrent link from the other thread and downloaded the it successfully. It is in the process of installing right now. Will update of outcome. Update 2: just finished all of the updates... they worked flawlessly. I went ahead and added 2.003 which also updated without a hitch. Thanks to everyone who worked on figuring this out! This forum has been a lifesaver since I got the unit last year.
  2. I am also getting a lot of complaints of background road noise. Even after having all of my doors insulated with dynamat.
  3. After reading through some threads on this forum I decided to go through the menus and check to see if my speed pulse was actually connected, and sure enough, it wasn't. I have a 2005 Ford Escape. I called the place where I had installed and they claimed that I "don't need it and it would be more trouble than it's worth to install because the wheels would have to be taken of to connect the wire" which of course makes absolutely no sense lol. So I looked up online where the VSS wire was located in my vehicle and connected it myself in a little under 45 minutes with no prior experience inst

    Can I check VSS?

Hi R-2, I recently connected my VSS and, like yours, the speed pulse climbs continuously if you look in the 3D calibration screen, but if you look in the connection status screen (I might be wrong on what it is called, but it is the first button in the navi setting screen) There is a meter that will go up and down as you accelerate. If you are stationary it will read 0, and you are moving it will continue to rise up until a certain point where the meter will be maxed out and it will just say "OK" or something along those lines. Also, I'm not sure if this will happen automatically, but in t
  5. After reading the above two posts I tried this and it worked for me as well. Now I just have to remember to hit OK when it is hidden behind another screen Thanks guys!
  6. I could use a receipt as well I didn't realize this had to be from an "internet authrorized" dealer :/
  7. I'm not sure if this workaround has been posted elsewhere, but I stumbled across it today. It seems the VR for making phone calls is either functioning or not, and is boot dependent as was pointed out in a previous post. The failure appears to be that it loses the ability to recognize the word "Call". However, rather than rebooting the system, if you go to mode>phone>sync contacts (then click cancel if you have an iphone), it will briefly cycle and when the buttons come back up the VR will work again. Certainly not a fix, but it takes slightly less time than completely restarting the uni
  8. I wasn't even aware this function was available. Seems like they would have it enabled by default Thanks!! :)
  9. I just got my z110 last week and have been having the same problem. I'll frequently have to power off the system and turn it back on in order for the VR to work properly for making phone calls. It seems that the word "Call" becomes unrecognizable during these failures. Also, as another posted noted, it will say "was was that" during these times... I'm pretty sure this is the only time I hear it used that specific phrase. It is highly annoying that VR is so temperamental on such a high end system. This is arguably one of the best head units on the market.... it seems like they could have put a
