  1. Just thought I would update what I found in case anyone else was having similiar issues. The volume issue was the board for the volume button and the ipod not working was solved with replacing the usb cable for the ipod(although the measurements i took with my DMM proved out)Had to purchase another headunit not working on Ebay and the cost was only $75.Best part is I still have other usable parts if anything else goes wrong.Kind of dissapointed with the lack of reponse on here. Not one person offered help at all
  2. After ALOT of trial and error and advise on this thread and forum my f900bt is working.Still a few bugs I need help with though. 1) I cannot adjust volume. the forward/back and voice commands all work but it will not turn volume up or down.At first I though it could be firmware related, but it is doing the same on the 3.1 fix.I even bought a Pioneer remote to use as an alternative but it wont work either(dont think this unit supports it) I have opened the unit up and checked the ribbon cables and they are secure and properly seated.havent had any luck trying to find the part number for the
  3. OK,so I got a Pioneer cable for the IPOD and the deck still doesnt recognise it and it wont charge the ipod.System says the firmware version is 2.00600,yet it will not let me update to version 2.00800.Can someone please give me some direction on what to try next?Could it be that I used a backup file for a F90BT?I dont see any posts that would indicate that the volume or ipod issue could be hardware related. Also could the parking brake bypass be related whatsoever to my symptoms? The mute wire was relocated between the two black wires on the AV harness and then connected to the parking brake wir
  4. After ALOT of trial and error and advise on this thread and forum my f900bt is working.Still a few bugs I need help with though.I can not adjust the volume and The HU will not recognise my Ipod even thoough AV1 setting is set to I pod. This may be because I could not get a CD-IU230V cable locally so I bought a Scosche sneek peek composite AV cable.see here http://www.scosche.c...ch/product/1622 I assume this may be my Ipod concern.Has anyone used this cable with any success? As far as the files that got me this far I used the most up to date Testmode v2.3,wrote the SDMLC file,A backup file for a
  5. http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/22599-solved-the-formatmbr-sdmlc-and-mapdbinfo-error-0x0000/ Still having some minor issues but at least i have music and nav again
  6. Wish I could say the same I thought I figured mine out and it gets to the main menu but I cant select AV and the GPS wont start. As well the settings menu opens but It will not allow any settings.Been at this for a week with minimal success
  7. Could someone tell me how long it should take the HU to start after all this is done?Let it sit after i reset it and went back five minutes later and it was at the same screen(pink pioneer logo)
  8. I am interested in a response to this as well as I am wanting to bid on a F900BT with what seems to be the same issue
  9. Just wondering if anyone has tried using the SIR-PNR2 sirius radio tuner with the F900BT?I see the deck has the IP bus connecter like my N3.Need to know if it will work,or if I should just sell it with the N3.Looks like I will have to get another ipod cable as well because it looks as though the CD-IB100II wont work with the new unit
  10. Just got a CD-VC1 voice command pack for my N3 and cannot seem to get it to recognize it.mic is hooked up to the back of the deck>when i try to turn on voice recognition in the nav settings menu it will not let me select it.Pioneers site says it is compatible.Any one have a similiar issue and what did you do to resolve it?
  11. Ok,so I checked for AV harnesses on Ebay and to my surprise I found one for sale that the picture was just clear enough to make out the wire colors at the harness and rewired mine to match.Hooked it up and it worked!!!
  12. First up ,Hello all I am new to this forum and have to say this is a great site!Just aquirred an N3 and installed in my Silverado. The person I bought it from did not have the system extension harness so I purchaced one from the local Pioneer dealer.$80 later I am happy and go home to install it .The catch is the harness is not marked except for the visual in and out RCA.as far as I can tell the the non fading sub out is the red RCA set, which are the two farthest on the left of the connector if looking at the connector when plugged into the headunit .Only one RCA (red ) has a signal and the oth
