Has this thread died? I haven't heard anything about this new mod in a long while

Is anybody able to change the voices or language in the regional settings with the v2 skin? I have been told if i add more voices these can be changed in here but clicking on them doesn't take me anywhere.

Hmm I have definitely put it in there. The problem i have however is that I am running the Asutralian maps update skin that is based of dafita. When i go into regional settings i can see the language and voice iptions but clicking on them doesnt do anything. They are the same as what the units voice is set to (through system settings). Why is is that they will appear in regional settings but not system settings?

So nobody can tell me how i can add more voices to the voice list? obviously i can keep jason there and just replace the .oog files inside the zip file but id rather have the ability to keep the original jason voice and also choose others

Look. I have a 3GS, an apple composite cable and a US F900BT. I have not once had a problem with it charging. Both iso4 and the previous firmware revisions both charged. WIth the previous revision everything worked fine except for album artwork. It was pixelated beyond belief and looked like shit. While this now works with iOS4 I have another problem in which fast forwarding of songs is buggy and doesnt really do anything and also i can no longer alphabetically search for songs and artists. Tapping the letter does not take me to the begging of the artists starting with that letter.

Do you have a US unit?

Ok so this looks very good. I currently own a F900BT and have a few questions about the software before I attempt to use it. At the moment I am running 3.0 and noticed that the unit requires a windows ce firmware update to make this work, much the same as 2.0 to 3.0. Is there any way to revert back to the older firmware incase i decide I want to stick with the original software? Also are maps from 3.0 compatible with 3.1? I have comprehensive australian maps (better than the stock iGo) for 3.0 and am not really sure where I would find these for the 3.1 update and lastly what is out there in

So nobody has tested their unit with an oscilloscope? I would have thought out of all the audio nuts out there with avics somebody would have put the unit on an oscilloscope to test its preamp clipping level

Mine would no longer pair either. I just deleted the current connection and searched for new devices. It took a while for it to recognise the iphone but it eventually found it and it auto connects now everytime again. I also experienced problems with the audio side of things when i first plugged it in but it seems to work fine now. I get the same message as you but it doesn't affect anything. The problem i find is that searching through artists is incredibly slow, I can no longer search alphabetically and fast forward hardly fast forwards at all.

Hi, I currently own a US F900BT but have aus maps on it. One thing that annoys me is the US accents though. I have access australian voice and language files and have tried to put them on the unit to no avail. Am I able to simply add more voices to the list? I currently have the aus language file and aus languages in the correct directory but the aus language and voices do not appear in the list. I assume this is because of the US version. so... I tried to trick the unit into thinking that the aus voices were infact us. I opened the voices info.ini file and changed the languages to us and a

Thats what i find also. I can no longer go to search alphabetically. Tapping the letter no longer does anything... Strange. If his problem and the slow scrolling was fixed it would be perfect. Lucky i still have voice activation to search by artist but even that pretty unreliable, more so because I'm australian and it doesn't really like my accent

Well I plugged my iphone back in and i works fine now...I was also having problems with the bluetooth. But after using my ipod video for about a week and plugging my iOS4 iphone back in it seems to work fine. I dont know what the deal was. The bluetooth now works as well but i had a hard time getting it to connect for the first time for some reason

The black wire on the harness usually connects to the harness ground which would be the black wire on the factory harness. However this ground is not always reliable and you should also ground the headunit using a secondary ground wire run between the chassis of the headunit (theres a screw hole on the back top of the unit specifically for this) and a piece to somewhere which has good contact with the bare metal of the chassis.
