  1. Maybe its operator error. I am in a line of work that puts me at about 50k miles/year driving. I use this GPS daily, and haven't had one issue yet. I use it to find hotels, restaurants, POI, Addresses, etc..
  2. Im pretty sure its in the main wiring harness to the factory stereo. Should be blue.
  3. I usually have all 8 sats and 3 green bars. My antenna is mounted on the dash and on the magnetic plate.
  4. Even after re-calibrating the gyros with VSS hooked up properly i'm still having these issues. Any help?? thanks, Matt
  5. I have both the ipod direct link hooked up and the zune av pack. The Zune is much better as far as looks and user interface. However you have to use a separate remote and not the touch screen. As far as the player goes the Zune runs circles around the Ipod.
  6. Speed your seeing is changing based off of GPS not your speed pulse. I think there is a huge difference in accuracy with VSS hooked up. Especially in city driving.
  7. Your stock radio will have its own mounting brackets. You can choose to use those or you can use the ones that come with an after market dash kit. The after market brackets will usually secure by attaching to the face frame of the dash kit. You can use a combo of the two by using the factory brackets with the after market dash kit. The factory brackets are usually more sturdy. You may need to modify the factory brackets or drill new holes to make them fit perfectly. Hope that helps, Matt
  8. Just use the wiring harness. http://www.installer-data.com/aacars/ca ... carid=2755 VSS is blue in the main harness. right in the middle.
  9. Dear Fat Tony, Did you eat a lot of paint chips when you were a kid? Regards, Matt
  10. Thanks Ducatiboy, I think your right now that you say that. I was driving for some time with no VSS (couldnt find the bastard). VSS has only been hooked up for 2 days. Thanks, Matt
  11. Yea the exit is parallel to the freeway usually. Is this normal for the Z1? I can be 100 ft. away from the freeway on an exit and it will show me on the freeway still. isn't the GPS more accurate than that?
  12. My AVIC-Z1 has issues every time I take an exit off the freeway. It thinks I'm still on the freeway for about 15-30 seconds then bumps me over to the exit. My buddy's GPS is a cheap and old eclipse that doesn't have the same problem. I almost always have at least 2 bars and 8 sats. My GPS antenna is mounted on my dash under the windshield. VSS is hooked up properly. Any ideas why this is happening? thanks, Matt
  13. After some serious trial and error I found it!!! If anyone else is looking for VSS in the 2007 Honda CR-V it is the dark blue in the middle of the main harness (i.e. the harness with power ground and all the speakers.)
  14. I have looked and looked but still can't find my VSS wire. I think its causing my navigation to be slightly off sometimes when I take an exit or turn. I have tried suggestions given before and still no VSS. Does anyone know were I can find it?? thanks again, Matt
