a while back i tried to update my firmware by following guides but somewhere in the process i didn't do it right and got to test mode and into the wince menu and it went down hill from there it comes on and shuts off repeatedly sent it to pioneer and they wanted way more then it was worth. i live in lake Charles Louisiana and need help is there anyone that can help.

I have a avicf700bt and i tried to update a while back and put it in to test mode and tried to reload the backup files and made it worse now the unit wont do any thing is there anyone that is around lake charles louisiana or sumthing that can help. maybe we can work sumting out for ur troubles

I have a avic-f700bt and i tried to update the firmware and had no success i have come across many diffrent guides and files and dont know whats the right way besides to pay pioneers $120 price for the update.i tried to put the backup files in but its not taking them and honestly i think im just making it worse cause i cant get the test mode to come on any more.can anyone help and we can work sumthin out or sumthing i would like to have the update but the main concern is to get the unit back up and running its been down for about 4 weeks.so if anyone can help it would be much appreciated

I have been reading thru all the logs from past to present on how to update to 3.0 and get around the $120 fee that pioneer wants people to pay.So i saw a bunch of good walk throughs and figured that i would give it a shot alot of them were really detailed so i figured what the heck il give it a shot anythings better then stock slow load up times and other flaws that yall already know about so i tried and got confussed and it all went down hill from that now it powers on and the screen remains black and shuts off i can get into the unit thru test mode and even load up the two files WinCEIMG fi
