  1. I believe you are referring to the 2012 x940BT firmware and files that people are using to upgrade their x920/x930 units to the same software on the x940. That was a more complex method because Pioneer never officially released a software upgrade to those units until the 2013 maps were released. Now that 2013 factory upgrade allows you to seamlessly upgrade your unit, there is no need to follow the 2012 method for your device. All you should need is the link I provided. This is my understanding of it. I never needed to do the 2012 update since I have a x940bt.
  2. Not sure if it will allow you to use the lightning cable with the iphone 5 but here is the latest 5.0 firmware with 2013 maps: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/38472-2013-usacan-maps-download/ You can update the Bluetooth also after updating, but the 5.0 main firmware will remove voice recognition if you have it currently.
  3. How about updating to the latest 5.0 firmware. Once you are done with it you can update the Bluetooth also. Only drawback is you will lose voice recognition if you use it/have it. Check out the following link. http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/38472-2013-usacan-maps-download/
  4. I had the same issue. I use the bluetooth connection with Android on my Galaxy S3. I updated my X940BT to 5.0 without the icons disappearing. When I updated to 5.1 the Pandora and Aha Radio icons disappeared. To get them to show up again, turn off any audio source currently being used, then go to settings, av settings, app connection. Change the app connection from 'ipod' to 'others'. Your icons will now show up again. If the app connection options are grayed out in the av settings screen, that means you have not turned off the audio source yet. These settings cant be changed when an audio sou
  5. The link I posted on page 4 should still work. I can still see it in my google drive. Maybe someone can change the link in the first post to my link? https://docs.google.com/open?id=0BxnH1BilICr5M05CRDRXdFQ2YlU
  6. I just upgraded from a F90BT to a X940BT. The colored cables with the black connector that connect to your car specific harness is the same. The only difference I noticed is the blue cable is for the power antenna signal on the F90BT and the RCA harness has the blue/white cable for controlling the external amp. On the X940BT there is no blue/white on the RCA harness. The blue/white is on the black connector and can be used to control both the power antenna and the external amp. Of course if you use the harness from the F90BT you would end up using the blue cable for this function since it is
  7. Hey guys. Luckily I downloaded the file last week. I have uploaded it here: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0BxnH1BilICr5M05CRDRXdFQ2YlU
  8. This thread is from 2009 so I dont think they will respond but I would recommend Car Trix in the Ironbound in Newark. They do great work and are helpful.
  9. When you are in map view just click on the compass on the top right corner. That will let you get through the different viewing modes.
  10. I am having the exact same issues. When I start the car manually with the key, the SD card resumes from the last song it played. If I start my car using remote start, the SD card starts playing the music from the beginning. I was sitting in my car while turning on the remote start the other day to try to see what was being done differently that could be causing an issue. It seems like my car is putting in more effort when starting when I use remote start. So it may be that the voltage is dropping. Also, the illumi color doest save my custom color when I do a remote start, it goes back to the r
