You need to upgrade APL folder. Once you replace APL folder from x910bt dump, you will have updated firmware information. Also, you could upgrade APL folder to one from EU's firmware version 3.020200.

I think, the track loging will require SD card. Try it with SD card inserted in detachable unit.

What I found is that the U310BT doesn't save any custom (POI, and etc) in built-in flash other than user settings.

Everything is in the manual page 106..

You need to turn off the radio (by pressing SRC button). And then press and hold center multi-direction button. There's all your options regarding initial setup. Sound option, you can get to them by pressing and holding center button while music is playing.

I tried out U310BT unit on my Jag last night. Everything seem to work fine. I used harness kit, and antenna kit for the wirings. I was pretty impressed with Pioneer sound quality compare to the factory radio.

One thing that bothered me. Whenever I press hard key or touch-screen key, I hear the noise from the speakers. When there's music playing (mp3, cd or radio), it's very hard to notice. But when it isn't, you can hear the static noise. I did hard-wire by-pass for hand-brake. Would it create the noise? possible grounding issue? I guess I could disconnect hand-brake wire but I don't want to re-solder it later.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Is anyone know if Pioneer will release new updated map for U310BT unit anytime soon? It doesn't have roads near my area. The 2009.06 TA map for F-series unit has all updated map.

I'd like to get hold of PLT(winceimg) and APL dump for F500BT as well. Could someone upload a copy?

I'm debating that as well. However, if it's anything like F-series POI, it may be worth it. The F-series 12 million POI really contains a lot.

I am assuming that you have F500BT. You need to increase the volume from Navi Setup menu. Increase to maximum output. This should do it.

Please how to copy a files from my PC or SD card to AVIC-F500BT internal memory ?

I have just bought a UK F500BT with software version 3.010100 and tried to load LeetLauncher v3.0 with no luck at all.

After playing the mp3 file and re-booting the unit it locks with the Pioneer menu screen and will not go any further.

I have the following on my SD card

I have read all the posts but may have missed something on the 53 pages!

Am i doing something wrong or is it the latest version of the software.

Please make sure you're running testmode v2.3. Older version doesn't work with firmware v3.

iGO 8.3 map does not work with iGO 8. The firmware 2 runs iGO8 which means, you cannot just upgrade the map data. You need to upgrade iGO application altogether (replacing APL2 folder).

Btw, I'm in Canada as well.

I really wanted to try out all the features. But I can't do anything as I'm waiting for the installation parts ARGH!!!!

a little bit more detail would be good. Which folder? \Windows\Fonts? etc...

I found a bug on digital dial screen. When the distance to next turn is less than km, the text overlaps or displays outside of the box. I will take a picture when I get home.

The linked threads have all the details how to upgrade iGO app & map.

I don't think it's possible. I believe the second SD card contains the new iGO app (v8.3) and new maps. They require new license to run.

However, if you don't mind running "hacked" version of iGO, you could run iGO app & map from "x910bt dump" available in this forum.

I didn't work.. I used AVIC-F500BT winceimg from EU version of 3.020200.

I checked the winceimg, it was identical to f700/900.

When I upgraded winceimg, it kept the custom splash screen. I'm guessing it did't wipe boot drive.

I have US/Canadian F500BT unit. Is it possile to use EU firmware? I will be using iGO app from x910bt dump.

Did anyone try this? If not, I guess I will test it out when I get home.
