  1. Update: Using info from the Repair Manual (thanks!!!), I was able to get the unit into a DVD diagnostic mode. In that mode, the screen would open for both CD/DVD and SD access. I could open and close it repeatedly with no problems. However, it wouldn't ever open without going into that diagnostic mode. Weird. I'm shipping it back now for repair or replacement. Maybe someone smarter than me can figure out what is wrong. Obviously, there is no problem with the mechanism itself.
  2. Page 185 of the operator's manual shows this error and the possible solutions. I've had this problem a few times with my iphone 3g. It normally goes away when I disconnect the ipod/iphone for a few seconds and then reconnect the cable.
  3. I tried all 4 resets, and no joy. Bummer. Has anyone else been able to fix this problem?
  4. I've read a few threads here that describe my problem, but I haven't seen anything definitive about whether this is a factory repair problem or an installation/configuration problem. I installed my Z110BT (+ correct bypass) this week. All functions work except opening/tilting the screen. Like other users, I can see the "Open" and "Insert SD" buttons. They light up when I press the buttons, but the unit doesn't move. No beep/boop sounds or sounds from a drive motor either. The tilt buttons are inactive and can't be pressed at all. Does anyone know what causes this? Is a replacemen
  5. macsctt, any luck? I'm having the same problem. Pioneer US tech support said they haven't heard of this problem, and directed me to get a replacement from my vendor. I'd love to find a solution in lieu of replacement. Note: I'm not hearing any clicks, whirrs, or other noises from the unit. The bezel is not pinching or restricting the screen either. Thanks.
  6. Sorry to resurrect such an old thread. I'm hoping someone can help me. I just installed the Z110BT in my 06 Pilot. The pics here were very helpful in finding the VSS wire, but I simply could not get my man hands into the tight space to tap the VSS wire near the left kick plate. I also couldn't see an easy way to run through the firewall to the PCM connector, though that one was easy to access. Has anyone got any other tips on tapping VSS in this car? BTW, my wife tried to use her small hands to remove the kick plate connector and she couldn't get it either. Thanks, Ryan
