  1. I wasn't trying to be a douche to you. To me, your opinion seemed to be based on skimming the post and presenting your conclusion without a full read through the entire situation. I am in the process of having other people attempt and test their iPods, but the problem is finding the right people that have both an iPod Touch 3rd Gen (32 or 64gb versions) running 3.1.3 and an AVIC x910BT.... It's a narrow group of people. Being a seasoned software and network engineer, as well as an avid tech junkie, I find it hard to conclude it being my specific device. My device has worked on a Kenwoo
  2. What are you basing this off of? The problem is with the AVIC device, but the CONFLICT is with the iPod. If you were paying attention to anything I wrote, I was attempting to downgrade the firmware version on my iPod to the version that the Pioneer customer support rep said was working with the AVIC device.
  3. I'm sorry, but I'm not trusting the faith of the Pioneer tech on that one. Plus, the 3GS may work, but the iPod Touch 3rd Gen doesn't. I don't know about the hardware on the iPhone 3GS, but I know the hardware changed a bit within the iPod Touch 3rd Gen. If you truly have a 3rd Gen iPod Touch, 32gb, I'm really expecting you'll have problems. If not, then my only next assumption would be that the problem lies with mine being a 64gb... It's not a functionality problem with my radio unit because it recognizes other iPods just fine, as stated in my opening email. Either way, please follow
  4. Awesome. Thanks for your help in investigating But don't post the serial number of your device. Apple service reps are the only ones that would be able to do anything with the serial number in regards to determining the specifics of your hardware.
  5. And yes, all pieces of the cable are/were appropriately connected; R/W/Y RCA jacks and USB plug.
  6. What version of firmware do you have on your 3rd Gen iPod Touch? As taken from an iLounge article: Keep in mind that the 3rd Gen iPod Touch was released toward the end of 2009 and is the first of the Touch line to offer 64gb support. They have slightly different hardware than the 1st and 2nd generations. The 1st and 2nd Gen iPod Touches work fine under all firmware versions. The 3rd Gen apparently doesn't work under the latest firmware version (3.1.3), but Pioneer says it should work under 3.1.2. I spent a lot of time trying to find a solution and have talked to 3 differ
  7. What model/generation is your 8g ipod though? I think this issue is specific to the 3rd gen iPod Touch, not the size.
  8. Oh, and it DOES charge the iPod. The iPod makes the sound when you connect the cable. It also displays "Accessory connected" when I attempt to go to the music section on the iPod. So, the iPod knows it's connected, but the AVIC has no idea what's going on....
  9. So, I've searched these forums for about an hour, ontop of searching the interweb for an hour earlier, but can't find an explanation or solution... I bought an AVIC X910BT to put in my 350z, but for some reason, it doesn't recognize my iPod Touch 3rd Gen. It recognizes my friend's iPod Nano and my girlfriend's iPod Classic. I've tried 2 different cables (Absolute ABS-CDIU230V (
