  1. well, we finally got to the unit last night. Initial thoughts were correct - pin was in all the way, however, the wire wasn't. corrected the wire situation, and unit is now working at desired.
  2. sorry, i've never updated this. the problem still remains. tried multiple phones - same result.
  3. good idea. I have a 130bt, and BT quality on the headset is same between the two models, and just equally as bad on either phone. I'll try to pair the devices again.
  4. I am a wee lost here. searched through topics, and see that people confirm - issues with bluetooth were corrected, and phones operate just fine. Well, mine must be an exception.. I had an EVO 4g, just upgraded to evo 3d.. People are not able to hear me, signal interrupts constantly. Calls are not being lost too often, but that happens as well. I know it is not the phone issue as I have a BT headset, and it works fine on a distance far larger than the distance from my phone to head unit. any ideas what I can check? thanks
  5. ^^ pretty much situation here.. though, I haven't even checked the DVD playback. that was the last feature I cared about. Will check it this weekend. sorry for no updates, guys, been super busy.
  6. if i press ok, error goes away, and HU starts acting as if it was installed right. like you said, it is an annoyance. I'll get together with Dan (above poster), and we'll check it out. He had an idea of getting rid of the pin, and just sticking the bare wire down the path, to ensure that it makes the contact. I suspect that I may have damaged the pin when I was pulling it out of the harness.
  7. Ron, in no way am I arguing or thinking you are not being helpful. Sorry, if I gave you that impression. I just wanted to show the exact message instead of posting approximated error message. thank you!
  8. Ron, i'm a wee perplexed here.. Checked the status of the parking brake - it is listed as ON all the time. here is the message I get
  9. thank you very much Ron. We'll give it a try, and I will report back.
  10. nobody has any ideas? how does the headunit check for grounding? every time it is booting up, I get a message stating that the ground isn't connected properly. Can that be the cause of my issues?
  11. ^ I'm with you, Thumper. for the first time, my GPS doesn't think that I live in the middle of a field..
  12. Dan is the other part of "We" in my post, actually. Nav works perfectly fine right now, with "VSS" wire connected, everything else functions right.. I just get the parking message and the 5mph+ disability. but we'll look into that. Just need as many ideas as possible at this point
  13. Thank you RonS, we'll have to check for that. I have 130bt unit
  14. bump. Having the same problem. Although, I also am getting a message that system has noticed an incorrect parking grounding... we followed the video to a T, moved the pin, as instructed, grounded it and the parking brake wire.. If we disconnect the VSS wire, we can apply changes to the nav, but the ARROW showing my location isn't moving.
  15. out of curiosity, how does it compare to the z1 nav? I was completely satisfied with the z1 nav performance.. but had to trade the car with it inside..
