  1. I have some older loq voices work with Primo 1.0, I will upload them shortly and put them in post #2 of this thread. I didn't particularly like the UK voices because it says "please" before every command. The less chatter the better IMHO. To mute tap the top right icon on the map screen, and tap the speaker. That will mute/unmute. I guess for me I only use Primo so the plain stock interface doesn't bother me, although the interface of the stock iGo may be slightly modded. After much searching I found a download of Avicnet 2.1 which seems to include a custom mod. Half of mine is still in
  2. I would say you are confused. There is no version 2 or 4 iGo8. There is FW version 4.0 for the AVIC, which is a file-copy type upgrade, so only a couple of files are different under the APL folder (not APL2), MainMenu.exe and others (this as per Chuck). Avicnet has been labeled version 2.03 because the creators started at version 1.0 and worked there way up with each release. Again, they are two completely different things thus the version numbers are irrelevant to one another.
  3. I'm not sure what you mean. The stock iGo is iGo8, any differences between versions would be skins. Avicnet has its own shell so why is the version number relevant?
  4. Sure, tap Avic net, settings, connection settings, 3 Italia (or others if you added any). From there scroll down and make sure Autostart is off.
  5. I agree, with TTS and buttons this integrates Primo into our unit very nicely.
  6. I dunno, when we switched to 1.2 from 1.1 I really missed some of the options 1.1 had. The home/work button and a friendlier overview mode as well as many more options in the GJ settings... I am kind of glad to have all this back. The only think 1.2 had that this doesn't is TTS pro (Are you sure you want to exit the program?) and it supported more voices. Note version 2.0 is not available yet, but should be available soon.
  7. I have uploaded a release of Primo with working sound regardless of source on post #2 of this thread. Note the TTS volume is controlled by Guidance volume and not Master volume. Hopefully Euro users will have better luck with TMC with this release.
  8. My pleasure, I don't mind sharing any development I have had in hopes that others may also contribute in improving our units. There is a link on post 19 of this thread where you can find maps. Post #1 will tell you where to put them on your unit. The speedcam files are not shared, you made the right decision copying them to Primo\content\speedcam.
  9. Eam, I have found with our units it is easier to allow the system to start normally and run 3rd party programs after startup, as well as using a kill command on our ezrider process to free up memory rather then trying to start from scratch. Take a look the the "button" program (it is in Primo for Diaftia on the 1st page of this thread). It is a utility that will generate a soft button over top of whatever window you choose (for us mainmenu). Upon pressing it it can be directed to a mortscript file, and in our case it kills the ezrider process and launches Primo. It is a simple method of la
  10. I found a version of Primo which plays TTS over audio despite the source, and also allows keybind commands to work. So far as the varying volume while in Primo, the volume knob is controlling the systems volume as well as Primo's. This can be fixed by commenting out or deleting xaf = "VOLUMEUP" ;Dial right xae = "VOLUMEDOWN" ;Dial left in the sys.txt. I will upload the version which includes working audio and keys this weekend sometime. Unfortunately it is Primo 1.0 and it will take a little getting used to since we are familiar with 1.2 and it's features. I think there are some
  11. Thanks for the info. Let us know if you have any further development. Edit: Take a look at this site, maybe there is something there that can be of help: http://forum.gps-clu...opic=15615&st=0 Use google chrome to translate to english. Edit2: With our units when they start up we have a "System Startup in Progress. Please wait." message in startup. If the system does not see the proper files/commands and the message does not go away the unit auto-reboots in approximately 5 minutes. Perhaps something similar is happening on your unit? An easy way to auto-start a program is to
  12. Glad you are enjoying it! Which bugs are you referring to, perhaps I can help fix them?
  13. There may be problems with your sys.txt. If it is calling for drivers (phone, rawdisplay) which are incompatible it will crash Primo. Use as few lines in the sys.txt as possible to start. It could also be a memory problem, in which case you would need add the following to the sys.txt which will allow it to run with a low memory requirement: [debug] max_memory=35000000 reserve_memory=1700000 cache=600000 Good luck, let us know how it goes!
  14. You do not need to delete the save folder when you change the sys.txt. Also, you can edit the sys.txt using Total Commander, which makes it easier then using a PC and going back and forth frequently. Without Primo running does your unit go into standby after 30 minutes in winCE?
  15. For your low volume issue add this to your sys.txt: [dynamiccompressor] ;TTS voice compressor=1 gain=12 You can increase the gain if it is still too quiet. I'm not sure what is causing your unit to go into standby mode. I have used Primo from wince (testmode) for extended periods of time and never had that issue, but that was on an f500bt. Without Primo running does your unit go into standby after 30 minutes in winCE? If not maybe a different version of Primo would help. A few more lines in the sys.txt you can try: [power] skip_resume_process=1 skip_suspend_process=1 What pr
  16. I'm glad it is finally working for f900bt and x910bt users! Thanks to those who contributed to finding a solution for the Primo GPS fix issue.
  17. So far as I can tell all it did was disable the gyro and it does not effect performance. If you are not having problems with Primo getting a fix then you should be OK without it. As far as the redraw being slow, if you use the Primo w/o iGo8 it shouldn't have that problem. I have also noticed slow redraw with the low memory requirement settings in the sys.txt. I removed the settings in the Primo folder and am happy to report no crashes yet while running concurrently with iGo8. Again, they are: [debug] max_memory=35000000 reserve_memory=1700000 cache=600000 Overwriting should wor
  18. OK, here are the steps, for f900bt and x910bt users only: 1) Update the CE5 winCE firmware image using the following steps. For NA units, use the download on the fx3.1 page: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/27807-fx31-complete-firmware-image/, or you can use this one: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/22844-complete-30-install-guide/. For Euro users I have no idea which one to use. If you already have CE5 then maybe all you need is CE6. You could use the one from the Italian thread: http://www.mediafire.com/?48ga7b53x11xbqk. Here is how as per the fx3.1 thread: 1. Insert SD
  19. I'm not sure if you are aware, but you can auto-launch a program (eg. Primo) in avicnet. Tap avic net, settings, settings menu, navigation, iGo Primo, and set autostart to yes. Do not auto start iGo Primo w/o iGo8 however or you will not be able to access avic net or it's settings.
  20. It is possible to put Diaftia's mod on to avicnet but it would require modifying avicnet's UI files to work in harmony with Diaftia's and would be no small task. I have no idea regarding whether CNSD200 would work or not.
  21. Thanks for posting ragstar, you got me thinking. After replying to your post I decided to try flashing the winceimg_v6219_wo_gyro.rar image despite having a UC unit. It worked! After flashing and copying the entire My Flash Disk once again, I went for a drive and launched Primo. To my surprise I got a fix immediately! And that was without the gpsgate patch. I restarted about 5 times and relaunched and each time Primo got a fix and showed my location on the map. I guess that winCE image really does disable the gyro. It's funny, I did the hardware bypass and was able to access all setti
  22. Damn, the fix stopped working after a hard reset and I can't get it going again. I thought I had the problem corrected! The APL folder is from the Italian mod, with nothing replaced or modified. There are 2 winCE images the Italian mod thread recommends to flash before installing. I tried flashing the first download onto my unit and it wouldn't boot, perhaps it s because I have a UC unit. The link is here: http://www.mediafire...48ga7b53x11xbqk I wonder if the fix for the GPS problems is in the update. After flashing the previous link they recommend then flashing this one for the F900B
  23. Sure, go to settings, navi settings, map visual, and displayed info. You can put the speed in to top field.
