  1. Another success story, all worked perfectly THANKS.
  2. This hack is used for 3.01xx and up. Mine is 3.0102 and works fine. Just to make sure, backup the 3 files before replacing them with the hack. Thanks for the confirmation, added the hack works perfectly. Now onto the next one
  3. Question 2 is answered as I have done my first mod. So yes after your all done you can just turn off the ignition. And yes the mods can be version specific.

This is old, I have a 2GB formatted SD Card FAT32 (Sandisk Ultra II) I have put the 2 folders from testmode.zip into the root of the SD card. Placed the SD card into the unit, then turned the car to ignition, and it just boots up as normal. Any clues? UPDATE: Tried a 4GB Panasonic card still the same, no testmode.
  6. Anyone know if the Pioneer steering remote controls can be used? http://caraudiogiant.co.uk/shop/by-manu ... d_795.html If yes what IR eye would you need?
  7. Just installed f900bt on Sunday, really amazed at the unit, working well and sounds good. I have a few questions: (UK Version) 1 - I have version 3.0.10100 and I see there is a later version, I don't know how the previous owner updated, so can I just use the update from the Pioneer site and follow the instructions? Anyone know the changes is it worth doing? 2 - I have seen a few completed mods I would like to add, from reading I get the idea I need the testmode.zip unpacked to the root of my SD card, along with the mods in question. Put USB in, start the car, wait for Windows CE to
  8. Honestly I did read the first few posts. I realize it's no longer mute but was wondering in the new position what is that new position? I have moved the pin as in the pictures and joined them with a sleeve. Then I plan to get a wire put a spade clip and join it to the existing spade and use a scotch lock to merge it to the power cord black wire. Does that seem good? Here a pic of half the job:
  9. This is a really long post and the answer may be covered, I did read the first few pages but could not get the answer. I believe grounding the parking brake lets you have access to everything even when the handbrake is down, including watching DVD. What is the purpose of grounding the mute wire? I bought F900BT second hand and the previous owner said he just grounded the parking brake wire, hence I am wondering the purpose of moving the mute and grounding. Apologies if this is a silly question.
