Hi. I bougt a car with Avic X1 installed. However no map disc came with it. I've downloaded and burnt a dvd with maps, but the unit tells me "this is a false disc" (in german I might add) Is this a known issue, and is there a way to get around it?

Hi. Just bought an avic x1 from the breakers, and today I got the powerloom I ordered from ebay. Problem is that nothing really happnes when I plug it in. 1. do I need to connect the hideaway unit (brain) for it to start up, or at least show signs of life? I don't have the hideaway, was planning to find it on ebay, but think I'll wait until I'm sure the headunit is ok. 2. There seems to be a resistanse on the main acc wire in the powerloom, is this correct? Thanks in advance
