  1. Interesting. I use it with a regular iPod, although I have used my iPhone on occasion. Just out of curiosity, do you have "Sort Artist" information all throughout your library, or do you alphabetize your artist by first name--i.e., when you want (ex:) "Johnny Cash," do you push "J" or "C"?
  2. I think it's a Pioneer bug. Despite the fact that the unit is supposedly "Made for iPod," I don't think Pioneer's genius programmers managed to figure out that iPod/iTunes has a "Sort Artist" field for people who want (ex:) Jimi Hendrix filed under "H" for Hendrix, and not "J" for Jimi, and who don't want him listed as "Hendrix, Jimi". I suppose you can't blame Pioneer, though--that feature was only added in what, iTunes 6.0? <sarcasm> I was having the same problem as you - X920BT, 5000 or so songs in my iTunes library, but getting "Not Found" for 3/4 of the alphabet keys (including
  3. The short answer -- no, I don't think there's a fix. As an experiment, I went into iTunes, selected my ENTIRE library (yes, that's EVERY song
  5. Did the 2.0003 (or is it 2.003) update fix this issue?

  7. I think this is a Pioneer quality control program -- I'm having the same problems as you guys, and have tried all of the same steps (reformatting, leaving files in "AVIC Z110" directory, taking folders out of "AVIC Z110" directory, trying different SD cards, etc.) I imagine that we all got units out of the same crappy non-quality controlled batch. You can try calling Pioneer customer support...if you want nothing but frustration. I had the guy telling me to take all of the same steps I already took, then tell me that (wait for it) the unit was probably defective, and that even though i
  8. mhermann, I'd like to try the fix you suggested -- can you give a few more details? Ex: Did you already have the SD card in the unit, then went to "change background" and it suddenly showed up? Thanks!
  9. I got the same response from Pioneer. Luckily, I bought mine from a national dealer, so if the unit does require replacement, I won't hace to do it myself. Trolling the boards here, it looks like you and I aren't the only ones having jis problem, though.
  10. Did that (with two different SD cards) -- unit simply won't recognize that an SD card has been inserted. The unit is only about a month and a half old, and this is the first time I've tried to use an SD card in it. The wonderfully helpful (sarcasm) folks at Pioneer Support told me that I would have to send the unit in for repairs at my expense. When I told them that I bought the unit from a dealer, and had no idea how to properly remove it from my car, they essentially stated that that wasn't their problem, and that I would need to pay someone to remove it from my car, if the dealer wouldn'
  11. Both. I tried the factory card--nada. I then formatted the factory card, downloaded the update, loaded it onto the factory card--still nothing. I then went to Best Buy, bought *another* micro sD card, formatted it, loaded the update onto it, and tried it. Nothing. My unit doesn't recognize that there has been an sD card inserted.
  12. Did you ever solve the problem? I came across the exact same problem -- my unit won't read the SD card at all.
  13. Did you ever get a solution to this? I'm having problems with my machine reading my SD card at all.
  14. Did you ever get a reply to this? I'm having the same problem.
