Hi all - just wanted to post that I tried the bypass and everything worked perfectly. I had an appointment at Best Buy for installation and I knew that they wouldnt do the bypass for me so here's what I did. Prior to installation I moved the mute wire to the new location. I cut the tab connector off of the mute wire, then cut the parking break wire and the ground wire to the same length as the mute wire and spliced them together. I then re-attached the ground wire to the other end of this splice and told the installer "ground this and don't ask any questions." Everything works

Hi all - just a quick note to share my experience. I haven't read through so apologies if this has been covered. Installed the update over the weekend and everything went perfectly, until............. When the system finished installing the update, the screen said "restarting in 1 second" for about 20 minutes. I turned the key off, started the vehicle again and it booted to a black screen. Turned off, started again and it came up fine, with new maps and software update. Just my experience.
