  1. This worked, thanks texbuck! So fyi to others, do not connect the parking brake wire coming from the car. This may not be obvious to everyone, so it bears stating.
  2. Thanks Texbuck, I'll try that tonight. The other wires connect to the ground and the remote amp turn on, I believe, and I don't think I can disconnect those from the car. However, I will disconnect the parking brake wire coming from the car tonight and see if that changes it. Thanks again man.
  3. Hello All- I am coming from a 920bt which bypassed like a charm, but I cannot, for the life of me, get this microbypass to work. I connected the radio as I normally would, and then added the microbypass wires into the others. Was I not supposed to connect the parking brake wire coming from the car? Thank you in advance -Jacob
  4. Gotcha. Thanks much. And also, thanks for the youtube Avic Feeds video. I had no idea how to use it before. Didn't know it turned it into a contact.
  5. To the person that stated that they had problems with the BT on the 920, will that be improved with the 930 and/or the software upgrade? I have the 920, and while I have no problems with pairing bluetooth, I have had problems with people hearing me clearly. I would love the rotary knob...
  6. That makes sense, but my thinking was possibly the extra nonsense on the iTouch/iPhone slows it down. The Classic is purpose built to be an iPod. All speculation. I don't know. It's really frustrating.
  7. I wonder if it is just quicker because it is an Ipod Classic. My gf's ipod classic has been the quickest thus far, with my iphone and cousin's itouch being the slowest. I took off a bunch of music and it sped up considerably, but is still far slower than my gf's ipod classic. I'm guessing that the classic ipods are a bit faster and that larger libraries slow down the unit. Or I suppose I'm just impatient.
  8. Messing up the bypass mod, and now trying to find out why its slow to scroll. I've put on hold finishing wiring up my rear view camera to spend time on iTunes finding out what is slowing down my scrolling. As of last night, the radio wouldn't even play the songs. I deleted the music that originally caused it to slow down and am gonna see if that helps any.
  9. I'm afraid I don't understand your question. I don't know what you mean. Maybe its slower because I have more files?
  10. The artist search on the ipod function my 920bt is very slow. When I hook up my girlfriend's Ipod, it speeds up drastically. This happened after I took my cousin's music off his computer and added it to my ipod. His Ipod is also very slow with search. Has this happened to anyone? Is it likely a corrupt file/files that is causing this? Thanks guys. I appreciate your help. The process of getting this unit up and running smoothly has been way more difficult than I thought.
  11. Thanks guys. I'm gonna ground it in the meantime until I can get a new harness. It is pretty botched up. Thanks again guys!
  12. Before I begin, I would like to say I attempted the bypass and ended up breaking the pin, so I currently do not have a mute wire and my parking break wire is not attached. Firstly, can I assume that most functions are blocked out because of this? I cannot enter an address in the GPS nor can I adjust the time for example. Secondly, before I purchase another harness, is there anyone on the board I can buy a pre-hacked harness from instead of ruining another harness and slicing my finger again? I am glad I found this site, I'm sure I'll be bombarding the board with questions until th
