  1. Well after 2 weeks online car stereo and then Pioneer have agreed that yes my unit is dead and they are replacing it. Crazy that it takes them so long, the hole in my dash is growing on me. Now if I could get a tracking number confirming the new one has shipped.
  2. Pioneer Customer Support 1-800-421-1404, Good Luck
  3. Well eventually after redoing the process, I was able to get the numbers where they should be, why the difference in readings I don't know. But maybe just maybe it should have been a warning that something was up internally with my HU, as in a newer post you will read that the unit has died and been sent in under warranty for replacement. Just thought I would update this post as nobody replied with suggestions, and I didn't want people worrying that they may have issues with theirs. Just seems like I had a defective unit.
  4. Well on Sunday my subwoofer stopped working, after checking the connections, settings, and even changing the interconnect cable, I still got nothing. Then on Monday I drove home for lunch HU was working fine accept for the subwoofer, then on way back to work nothing worked. After pulling the HU out and speaking to Pioneer extensively, we determined that the unit had froze up and died. I tested all connections, verified power and fuses, yet nothing would appear on the screen and you could not hear the unit start up, the only thing that worked was the remote power lead still turned on my ampl
  5. OK so I have the AVIC Z130BT and just added a JL Audio HD900/5 amp, per JL Audio instructions and many youtube videos, I was convinced that I need to tune the amplifier per the suggested settings in the owners manual. I unhooked the speaker wires from the amp, turned everything off on the HU, bass, boost, loudness, etc. and set everything to flat on the EQ. Hooked up the DMM to the speaker ports on the amp, put in sine wave tone in cd to play at 1khz, turned up HU volume to 30 our 40 or 3/4 and proceeded to adjust the gain on the amp. Suggested setting on 4 ohm load is 20.0V, well problem,
  6. I would like to use the OEM camera on my 2005 Nissan Armada LE, need to know how to run a wire with and RCA Jack, so I can hook up the OEM camera to the AVIC Z130BT, can anybody help me with this? I need to know which wires need to be spliced into? I have provide the wiring diagram from the Service Manual if that would help. Thanks
  7. I saw that one as well, just was not sure about the seller, and did not say if it included a free warranty, others on Ebay offer a square Trade warranty but it costs almost $100. That being said, if you are eligible for the Ebay promotion it will work on any auction, just noticed on the 10% back that you also get an additional $5 on your first purchase through this method. As I mentioned bought mine on Monday will be here tomorrow via UPS, never bought from Online Car Stereo before, but I am impressed. For some reason, they sell it for $939 on Ebay and $989 on their website, usually the oppo
  8. I bought mine on Ebay from Online car stereo, cost $939.00, I have a special promotion from Ebay that says if I have Windows 7, download new version of explorer 9, then pin ebay website to task bar. Logon via ebay on taskbar, purchase, receive 10% back in Ebay bucks so I get roughly $94 back off of $939 pricing, roughly $845, with free shipping. Also, includes 1 year warranty from Online Car stereo. Bought it today, shipped same day and already have tracking number, should have on Thursday. Not a bad deal.
