VSS Wire for 2006 Ford Freestar
PDSchweitzer replied to PDSchweitzer's topic in Vehicle Specific Wiring
Pin 14 only is used/hot when a Reverse Sensor Option is installed from the factory.. -
I am looking on where to find the VSS wire on a 2006 Ford Freestar

If you are using a Ford brand 2004 or newer car/truck/van/SUV then pin 5 should be around 12V when the radio is ON. The RADIO is feeding pin 5 the 12V

I connected the speed pulse wire on the D3 to the Vehicle Speed Signal on the Ford 24 pin radio connector - Pin 14 (2006 Ford Freestar) and so far navigation is working well, but how can I tell if it working ? I checked in the Hardware Info --> Connection Status and the Speed Pulse always reads 0 In Vehicle Dynamics it shows a speed and it changes accuratly Should I really care ?

I did the D3 bypass steps, but what exactly should I do as a test to verify the bypass is working ?
