To all the others that asked me some questions, i want to apologize for not being able to answer. I'm not an expert...I'm just a guy that had a bricked unit, just like you, and didn't rest until i figured how to save my investment. I'm very happy to see that i could help you! Cheers from Portugal

Hi, I've bricked my F900BT before, and i think the main reason was doing the official Pioneer Update...After a couple of weeks it just crashed totally. You don't imagine what i've read and how many hours on it... If i'm not mistaken there isn't much difference between F90BT and F900BT ( i've read that the main difference is the USB cable in the 900 and the Ipod in the 90 ) and you MUST check if this is true. Maybe, if they are compatible and if you are a West European, this is the solution for you http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/30773-f900bt-full-ew-backup/ Regards

Dear All, This is my first post but it's going to be VERY IMPORTANT for those, like me, that had a bricked F900BT. My AVIC, after a couple of months working very well, stopped working: Starting up and a few seconds shutting down permanently... I've spent hours reading here at AVIC411 and in other sites, getting more and more confused. I've got an backup image here ( without maps ) and my device worked and rebooted every 3 minutes... The following procedure was partially got from an italian forum ( pioneernavgate.blogfree.net )but again, besides the italian language ( even with the
